Why would they bid for a player that barely anyone has heard of to drive up season ticket sales? They probably thought they could get a player they'd looked at on the cheap due to the clubs position and got told where to go. If this story isn't complete crap that is... Are PSG in financial trouble? Or are you just assuming that, because it's really the only logical explanation. Sorry I was more referring to their league position last year and possible financial position. It's all guesswork at the end of the day, but I just personally would have thought if they were going to underbid for players as a smokescreen it would be for a player the majority of fans would have heard of (Michael Johnson etc).

Rubbish. He's look knackered since the final day of the season and it's fairly obvious to even the most biased of supporters that he hasn't gotten over the knock he had in May. He worked his backside off every game but just wasn't very effective. Unfortunately for England, Rooney gives that much to his club team during the regular season that he's shattered by the summer. This probably explains why Gerrard looked so lively, as he did bugger all for Liverpool last season. There's no way Rooney "worked his backside off" for England.

We're out because we've been fucking shite. If it had finished 2-1 then fair enough, but they hammered us. Our movement is utterly terrible, we don't seem to have anyone that's a bit dynamic, and can create things, run with the ball etc. Rooney and Gerrard have been a disgrace this whole tournament, absolute bottle jobs.

The refereeing started off at a very decent standard, but they seem to be shocking now.

I scored one like that Henry goal this season in a league match against a team that later folded, fucking up my chance to win my first ever goal of the season I was on the right though, flicked it up first touch, and smashed it far top corner second touch!

Not necessarily the best goal I've ever scored technically, but the one personal footballing moment I'll never forget. My first season playing county level football in Kent division one (highest level I've ever played), and we were pushing towards winning the league. It had got to the really nervy part of the season where we were playing against teams that were also trying to win it and we just needed to win against the lower teams and not lose against the rivals. I think it was second to last game of the season we had an away game against a team called Oakwood who were our biggest rivals for the league, we just needed a draw to all but win the league. We were 1-0 (or 2-1 I can't remember ) down after about 70 minutes and I was on the bench. After running up and down the sidelines warming up for ages the manager decided to put me on right mid (I'm a striker). So... not long after I've come on, our left back has picked the ball up just past the halfway line, and progressed about 10 yards or so and decided to whip it in early. Now I was probably quite comfortably the smallest person in our team, and probably on the pitch, and not renowned for my heading ability, but I've drifted in from the right to just inside the box, and leapt like a fucking salmon, bulleting a header into the far top left hand corner. I honestly can't remember ever seeing a reaction anything like it by every single one of our players and our manager. It meant so much to everyone. Absolutely amazing moment that no money could buy.

I can't really understand the views expressing extreme dislike for the kits, they are just standard football kits, nothing really offensive or outrageous about them. They are a bit plain but that's about it. The more I look at the white one, the more I quite like it.

Put an effort out for a throw in in my cup final when it was 0-0 against the league winners the other week. I was pretty much on the corner of the 6 yard box, unmarked, clean through, tried to smash it, absolutely shanked it! There are worse moments, but that one's recent.

First game I've watched where I've been genuinely disappointed to hear the final whistle.

How many pens have there been so far? 1? The ref's all seem to be letting the game flow, sometimes to the extent where they are letting fouls go. Not that I'm complaining (until England are knocked out because of it....)
