I'm really beginning to feel like we are getting there now, it's getting to that "so close you can almost touch it" stage that I'm getting really anxious thinking about it. If we go up, I will let off a year long sigh of relief. I just want it to be over. 2 months today the season will be over.
  2. That's some review to be fair.
  3. Not saying we will still up (in fact I have said all along we need a lot of changes) but the majority of the "better" players were shit last season and just couldn't be arsed. The only one I think we really miss is Bassong the problem was and still is the centre of midfield, I can't see us not signing any more players in the summer (I know that is a bold statement under Ashley) but if we sign a good, mobile centre mid and a decent striker I think we will be in a better position than we were when we went down. It's also much more than just simply a case of not being good enough on the pitch last season either. You only have to look how we started the season with what seemed like some stability to see that we'd have been worth more than 1 point had we not imploded. The same is pretty much happening with Portsmouth this year, they have some decent players and I wouldn't say they are the worst in the league, but there's a lot of other things contributing to their downfall. Unfortunately you can't just forget everything that's going on once you step onto the pitch.
  4. Satisfying result especially considering Routledge was out and Loven's early injury. Shame Forest won.
  5. Said it should have been an away banker at St James's Park. Then said Exeter were losing.
  6. Fucking Stelling, was wondering what the fuck he was on about.
  7. Sounds like Leeds are awful. Just need them to win and my bet's in. Derby have now fucked my other bet up...
  8. I steered well clear of that one...
  9. Come on Leeds you useless fuckers!
  10. I was happy as soon as I heard we'd signed him. Might have been blind optimism as I haven't seen him play for a while, but I'd heard he was doing well this season and he pretty much ran things against us earlier in the year. It's just good to have a bit of pace, and balance in the team. I love watching this type of player, like a poor mans Lennon, with hints of Dyer in there. Hopefully he doesn't fade away. His end product has surprised me a bit, its actually been pretty decent. I might be getting carried away but if we go up, first team wingers would now probably be at the bottom of my priority list (along with Left Back of course).
  11. He's the only player in our team that my reactions are seriously knee jerk over. When he's doing alright and scoring I like him, but if he one of those games where he seems to have no awareness of whats going on around him, barks orders at team mates despite doing fuck all himself, even if its just one blip game, I don't want him anywhere near the fucking team again!!! He'll score or play well the next game and I'll be fine with him again!
  12. Aren't they also the only two times Routledge and Jonas have both started together?
  13. Well it's a good thing we're in this league then isn't it Carroll will be the first striker on the team sheet for me all the while he's scoring. I actually quite rate him. He's young and given time and patience he can hopefully iron out his raw aspects. There aren't many players his age that play the type of role he does, much less do it well.
  14. Smith and Nolan will play regardless, Guthrie probably doesn't give a shit because no matter how well he plays he'll only play in the middle due to injuries. Carroll must have dodgy pictures of Hughton as he gets games no matter how he plays. What the fuck can Carroll do with the service he's getting today? Everything behind him is disgusting.
  15. Pretty much this. I personally think the basis of the article is a massive pile of shit. What superstars did other Championship clubs bring in then in this January transfer window where the least money was spent on players for the last 5 or so years and clubs are going into adinistration and massively struggling financially?
  16. I personally quite rate him, he's frustrating at times in that he's a bit inconsistent, but he does know how to finish when he's on his game and is a massive hand full against defenders. He's only young, give him some time to develope, work out the inconsistencies and the raw aspects and he could be a good player.
