  1. I don't think Jonas has played badly.
  2. It's probably because most shots that have been hit hard in this tournament have been a danger to low flying aircrafts.
  3. I've actually enjoyed this half, best I've seen so far this tournament.
  4. Defending against him and Tevez must be terrifying.
  5. Great save after the cock up.
  6. In addition to his 50+ goals over the last 2 seasons. You really hate it when someone doesn't rate someone you do don't you!
  7. Gonna be a mauling this....
  8. Messi's dribbling is so close to his feet!
  9. That Tevez effort was very close! Great strike.
  10. I hope he gets a warm welcome from our fans...
  11. There are 2 away games in the first 4 games. Doh, I miss read NUFC.com, jumped from August to October
  12. Very very tough start, 3 away games in 4. Could be bottom after 4 games.

    Peter Løvenkrands

Lovenkrands won't be prolific but given the chance he will score a few goals. If played as first choice striker I think he could break 10 in all competitions. I wouldn't want to rely on him though.
  14. Yep, well similar to our last seasons away kit! Hold up.... I think I'll reserve judgement until I've seen confirmation that they are the actual kits, and actually seen what they fit like.
  15. Yep, I can't see it either. I suppose if you look hard enough at anything you'll see what you want to see.
  16. I don't think I've seen another player so noticeably excited to be playing when he's on the pitch. It's like he can't believe he's actually out there. Great attitude to have. I'm sure he made a save and celebrated like he'd scored against QPR
  17. Saw a comment about it from one of my mates on facebook. Gotta be bullshit.

    Jonas Gutierrez

Fuck sake! Have you and Skirge forgotten that Jonas and Colo are on over £50k a week and after their gash performances of last season they were left with Hobson's choice regarding a move to another club, take a massive pay cut or stay with us. So please don't give them credit for making a no brain decision. Let's see how they do against the big boys next season and if they can justify their inflated salaries. So how about the fact that they have actually performed and shown heart this season then? If they were only interested in their wages they could have and would have played a lot worse. Their wages will have obviously been a factor, but to suggest that its the only reason they stayed and not give them any credit for their performances this season is ridiculous.

    Nicky Butt

it's not a question of defending his time here as pointing out many who've been as bad and had none of the abuse. Most of the people you mentioned above like Smith, Geremi and Nolan hadn't had anywhere near as nailed-down a position as Butt has though. Butt has been a constant in our side for a long time, and has just simply been poor. I would say he's been the worst if only for the amount of game time he's had.

    Nicky Butt

I actually base none of my opinion of Butt on one performance in a semi final of an FA Cup match. He's just been a crap footballer for us for a long time. I've never understood how every manager that has come in (apart from Hughton to be fair) has seem his as a "first name on the team sheet" player. Unless you count players that weren't in the team through injury's and off field issues, as a constant in the team, Butt was one of, if not the biggest reason why we went down last year. His passing was shocking, he gave away SO many penalties and free kicks around the area, and was pretty much immobile. I remember thinking he looked a good passer of the ball when he first signed for us, but other than that, he's been awful for us. I'm glad we won't have to use him at all any more.
  21. Love watching Routledge play, he gets so many assists and isn't afraid to shoot. Hopefully he'll do well next season. I think he will.
  22. Guthrie can Pass, Barton can pass. What we need in midfield is some energy. Nolan can't pass, neither can Smith or Butt. We need a good footballer, if they have good energy that is a bonus but we can't sacrifice quality. For all of Nolan's athletic faults, he is very much a Premiership standard player technically in my opinion. He can get the ball down and play a pass that will go to a team mates feet (whilst not putting them in the shit) better than most. Nolan is a good footballer. We need a player with an engine and mobility. Would be nice if they actually had some talent as well....
