Butt, Smith, Given, probably even Nzogbia, Taylor, Owen, Milner, Cacapa, and Barton should be mentioned before Duff, I bet his ball retention is up with the highest in our squad. Not saying much I know but still!
-
Very harsh mentioning Duff in the same sentence as those two, he hasnt set the world alight but hes been one of our most steady players since his return from injury. Fuck off man. I'm sick of hearing this. One of these days the useless wanker will put a cross in. Nah he won't, I jest. I tend to agree with a lot of what you say mate but your talking bollocks in my opinion.

http://www.sportingo.com/Football/a7177_seven-Spurs-Newcastle-Manchester-City-WORST-BUYERS-season The fact that of all of our signings Cacapa and Enrique were chosen shows that the reporter doesnt really have a clue and has just picked 2 random players from us. Should have put Smith and Geremi in there, or maybe for off-field problems Barton.

Doesnt bother me in the slightest, a little bit of advertising for one of his other companies isnt exactly a heavy price to pay for no debts.

Liking the Teamtalk headline: Everton edge to victory in Norway Leon Osman and Victor Anichebe goals earned Everton a 1-0 win over Brann Bergen in the first leg of their UEFA Cup third round tie in Norway.

Mine at present would be: ---------------Harper Beye----Taylor-----Cacapa-----Enrique Duff-----Faye------Emre------Zoggy -----------Owen------Martins

BrazlianBob in controversial opening post shocker!!

Just did it predicting either 0-0, 1-0 or 0-1. We finished 13th on 39 points. Some really low scoring prem teams this year. Worked out Arsenal won the league, Fulham, Birmingham, Derby down, Sunderland 16th, and Boro 12th.

Bentley didnt do his reputation any harm at all, but he wasn't brilliant. Still MOM mind!

That is way, way over the top, verging on the absolute bollocks to be honest. Im not his biggest fan, and dont think he offers a lot to the team overall, but in terms of predatory instincts he is world class. There arent any better than him in the game at timing his runs, and he does finish a lot of his chances. You only have to look at the past few games where he's been incorrectly ruled offside against Arsenal and Man Utd. IMO he has been getting sharper with each game since his return, and will improve (as long as he stays fit). He's never going to be the type of player to take on men and run around all day, he's about waiting and timing, but that doesnt make him lazy. That's pretty over-the-top yourself, given his showings this season. I cant recall him missing numerous sitters or good chances. Im not saying he hasnt missed any but you seem to be making out he's had lots of chances handed to him. Dont get me wrong I'm not the biggest fan of him and would sooner have a player that offers more to the team, but that post IMO was way over the top. id like to know how many chances in the box he has had in the last 6 games, as you say cant think of many misses, except that one yesterday when it was cut back to him If he he'd used this so-called world class movement/pace he'd have had more chances. He's had plenty of chances anyhow. You gotta have the service in the first place, and no one said anything about pace.

Under different circumstances I think he could have turned out a lot better than he is. I blame Shola!

I agree that Beye and Faye should go straight back into the side, but in all honesty Carr hasn't played badly since his return.
-
Good performances from Duff and Carr. Cacapa, Barton and Emre didnt have bad games. Butt was shite, I don't know what people see in him, N'Zogbia was poor, and I hate to say it but Given is starting to look like a liability.
-
Worst ref performance I've seen for a long time. Terrible.

I prefer Sundays, I play football Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning so when I get back after footy on Sunday I can watch the game.
-
Im very torn on Milner, at the top of his game I watch him and think that he is going to develope into a brilliant player, but at the moment, being off form he doesnt look like he's going to be better than a useful squad player. I think its very easy to forget how young he still is. Improving as a player isnt beyond a just turned 22 year old, however the next 2-3 years are going to be very important for how he actually turns out. He may not have much pace (although he's not slow), but he can, when on form leave a man for dead with his trickery on the ball. If he can develope some intelligence and work on his crosses he can become a decent player.
-
If Faye and Beye are back I'd play: Given Beye Taylor Cacapa Enrique Duff Faye Emre N'Zogbia Owen Viduka Milner is off form so would rest him, bring in Carr and Butt for Beye and Faye if necessary.

Replacing Given is something that will eventually need to be done but we have far more urgent issues than this one in my opinion.
