I thought Taylor had a very solid game today, I didnt particularly notice him today but I think that is a good thing because he just played it simple and got on with his job. As is the case with most of our players, he's been a lot better recently.

I must be watching a different game to you, Geremi has played well IMO, fantastic ball for Owens first goal. I must admit eveyones passing has been sloppy compared to of late.

I felt better with what I saw from him by the end, than what I was expecting from him at the begining, nerves aside, I thought he did alright. Absolutely, he had a decent game. Wouldn't be against seeing him in the side again. I wouldnt either but Id still put Taylor straight back in when back.

Erm, going back to an earlier post, there is no right back in the league that "totally outclasses" Beye, he is a very very good full back, very good defensive ability, and recently has shown that he is good going forward as well. With regards to Sagna, didnt he have an absolute mare against Milner when we played Arsenal?

To an extent I agree with you, but this is the first time (possibly since he's been here) that he's had a consistent runs of games and he's looking much better for it.

I not sure who the POTS will be but we have let too many goals in for any defender to win it. Probably true but in terms of individual performance he should win it. And its not as if we've played particularly blinding (until recently) going forward either.

Player of the season for us by a considerable margin, I honestly cant think of us having a better right back in the time I've been watching Newcastle.

Perfect result really, a goal from all of our strikers, a decent performance and a clean sheet. The thing that made me smile the most was how they all seem to be playing for each other, it seems like they are actually mates and not just working with each other. The celebrations for the first 2 goals showed that, the weird dance by Faye and Martins was sad as hell but equally funny to see, and Beye picking Owen up was hilarious. He assisted Viduka as well, wonder why he didnt do the same to him

When he was still our most productive attacking midfielder by quite a margin. That is just simply not true. By the time he left us he either had no abililty to take on and beat his man or just couldnt be arsed, he was shite in his last season for us.

Oh, bit of credit where its due for Harper today, didnt have overly much to do but looked assured and confident and dare I say more reliable than Given has looked recently!

Not many teams play one of those. yet according to some owen is playing behind a front two ? Our 4-3-3 is more 1 off of 2 strikers rather than 2 off of 1 which Allardyce was playing, which was in effect 2 wingers off 1 striker. I dont particularly think Owen is playing behind the 2; Martins and Owen seem to switch, but it looks like on most occassions we are keeping 2 up at all times. ... if that makes sense!
