Some promising signs in amongst some slow, stuttery stuff. Realisation kicking in that our problems aren't gonna go away quickly, and that we may have to be patient with McClaren whilst he un-Pardews the team. Obertan has arguably been our best player. Haidara is frustratingly hit and miss and could be a liability for us this season. Can't see us bringing in a left back either. Everyone else has been much of a muchness really.

I think we'll be alright this season, 8th to 12th, and hopefully signs of cohesion as the season goes on.

For someone that had such a brilliant first season at a club absolutely rotten to the core he comes across as unbelievably grounded. Most his age would be having their agents whoring them out to every club that will listen, yet in addition to there being none of that he's actively indicated his desire to stay and also play wherever for the cause. Lovely lad.

Right wing isn't Sissoko's best position but he's proven he can get assists there. Of all the square peg/round hole scenarios we could potentially have, this one bothers me the least.
