Suarez with a typically sly scrape down the shin.

Should've been a pen at one end goal at the other, cracking game

3/1 on an Emery/Board quip in an article somewhere. You are awful......but I like you.

Shows you can't win as a Newcastle winger, you're either too lazy or too workmanlike in his case. I didn't think he was that great for us but like you say he was young and it was disappointing he left straight after arguably his best ever performance for us versus Coventry. That Keegan side was really starting to hit its stride. He was superb that night. Cracking game of football that.

Look at you and me Ian, used to be so optimistic, now the most miserable fuckers of the bunch Ian's post could be perceived as optimistic to be fair.
-
I'll have you know it's the thousands of us that decry his constant babble of diarrhoea that are the thickos.
-
I'm going to be honest, I think he'd be a good appointment. With the experience he has, if he can put it to good use here, then his sides recently have played some nice stuff, and if Ashley backs him and Carr, I hope there will be good times ahead. Of course there is literally a Home Counties white elephant in the room in my hopes.

Dunno, just caught on. It's a fun crowd, drums and dancing. Mostly wee guys but fair play for creating an atmosphere. Says a lot that I enjoyed Motherwell - Ross County than Newcastle - Man City Coventry did it first. There's a great video of them at Arsenal doing it Coventry fans have been singing that for twenty five years or more.

Hoddle scored literally 20 better than that. Justin Fashanu's for Norwich against Liverpool. Fucking mental them choices.
-
Good finish that. Well deserved.
-
God Alan Hutton is a fucking thug.

I spoke to fans from both clubs during my trip to Germany for Euro 88, and indeed others who claimed they were there. It seemed pretty common knowledge amongst the England fans . Horrible trip that was in all ways. Wish I'd kept the money and put it by for Italia 90.

There is no doubt though that there were also the usual hooligan element that didn't even support Liverpool with the Liverpool hooligans that night. Chelsea and Millwall fans for whom European football was a definite no go were involved plus other hooligans who followed England at that point of time.

Yeah he wouldn't be a legend for his ability. He made Geoff Thomas look good.
-
There's a big cloud made of shit and it's heading our way!

Here's some Palace legends that I remember Jim Cannon, captain of Allison's side which made the semis of the Cup in 76 Malcolm Allison, manager of said side Terry Venables, manager of the so called Team of the 80s. Paul Hinshelwood, played right back for them for years. Geoff Thomas, longstanding captain though shite, managed to play for England. John Jackson, keeper for years, think he replaced Bill Glazier, who is a Coventry City legend. Ian Wright, probably their best striker, working superbly in tandem with Mark Bright. Kenny Sansom, one of Englands finest left backs ever. Alan Pardew, only Crystal Palace player ever to score a goal to take them to a Wembley stadium final. Though he was shite.
-
A couple of massive highlights in his playing career? What was the other one? And yes, he was the epitome of mediocrity at best, but surely that only aids his legendary status. It is cultish yes but you're just splitting hairs really. As for him not being a legend because he has only just become their manager, and didn't manage them in the Championship, well that's just insane.
-
Which was ? There's more than one reason or course. Poor policing decisions would be the top one in both cases though. Though those fans who were at Hillsborough without tickets must be desperately pained by their consciences. Edit: Cracking post Wacko .

But touchy aren't we? For a club who've won fuck all in their history, the bloke who scored the goal that took them to their solitary Wembley final isn't a legend?
