  1. Lerner has been badly burned by previous managers. He has at least invested in the team in the past.
  2. Yeah, can't see Inter giving him any kind of medical tbh.
  3. Even our 94' side which won was technically nowhere near a Brazilian side. Our 90' side the same. It was in many ways good sides because we had Romario to rely on, something I hope we can do with Neymar in the next World Cup. Aye, Dunga became the Cerezo figure. The flair in those sides 86 to when Ronaldo came in mainly came strangely enough from full back positions. Dunga was the man though. Best captain I've seen us have. Loved Cafu for everything he did, but Dunga was just a leader figure on the pitch. He was a superb captain, led by example and knew what his job was. Very much a latter day Cerezo, who once he realised that trying to break opponent's legs wasn't a good thing, became a superb midfield anchor man. Mind you I liked Alemao doing the same job in 90, but Dunga's leadership set him apart.

  5. People going on as if the non flair Brazilian is a new thing. From when Pele retired through to Zico coming in, Brazil were a side that were very physical. Rivelino's flair and talent was Pardewed in the 74 World Cup as they atttempted to kick their way to the cup. Even when they visited Wembley in 77, they stunk out the place with negative and general dirty tactics, the biggest culprit being Toninho Cerezo, who kicked wor Kev from pillar to post. Keegan had the last laugh by scoring an equaliser though. A new approach was needed and Zico along with the likes of Dirceu and Renato helped them to a decent 78 World Cup. The 82 side probably was too far the other way but Cerezo was still there but his instructions clearly were to sit in front of the back 4 and instead of kicking everything, instead cover for marauding full backs and winning the ball so that the Socrates' and Falcao's could flourish. Probably the wrong thread for this mind.
  6. If there's one thing Pardle doesn't like, it's possession.
  7. He's right lads, he did. It was specifically him that told us and we didn't already know at all. Geddin[emoji3]
  8. Remember reading about him many moons ago in some annual I had as a child. Tiger or Shoot or something. Tragic story.
  9. 26 mate... [emoji1] Yeah but he looks 28.
  10. I remember him from the old Eurosport goals round-up on Monday nights.
  11. The Fuck Her Right in the Pussy brigade save the day!!
  12. Ashley probably hasn't forgiven him for the Falklands
  13. Living in Spain would've helped. Not unless he had citizenship it wouldn't. And then he wouldn't need a Work Permit.

The worst part of all of this is the meh we seem to be all feeling. Oh to have a positive attitude about our club. Seems a very long way away tbh.
  15. Looked excellent when they stuffed Manchester United.
  16. Not Eric here though but the other fucking head the ball , dog wanker.
  17. I remember Leeds with Radebe in goal because Lukic? had been sent off. That was late on too.
  18. Fucking ridiculous how many 1-0 wins they seemed to get due to Cantona and Schmeichel. Seemed to go on forever. 1-0 Cantona.
  19. If he'd got the ban he should have, ie at least a year, we'd have had different champions 95-96 season.
  20. How the f*** do you know if it is bad for him financially? Signing on bonuses for free transfers tend to be pretty big. He would have multiple suitors including Villa which he could play against. I'm going to guess he could make more money that route. His whole interview pointed out things such as loyalty over other attributes. But I'm guessing you just wanted to quote me and say that i'm wrong again. Which is pretty pathetic. How do you know he doesn't have clauses in his contract to compensate? Answer: you don't.
