Agree with this. They know how little relative effort it took to get back up to the top table last time. Bonus: embarrassment for the fans. I don't think it would even change the manager either .

I have absolutely zilch interest in Newcastle United Football Club whilst this cunt is involved with the club. It's clear he has an agenda along with the owner to keep us up on a shoestring and allow the owner to cream the TV money whilst garnering free advertising for his grubby company. I'm going to attempt to stay away from this board and hope that any feeling, generally infinitessimally minute, of optimism that can be found with rumours or good news concerning our club, that I search this board for, can dissipate. Seriously, this regime from the owner down to the manager have no interest in what we yearn for, and thus any emotional attachment I have is void. In short, I'm done until a change at the top.

You've had that built up a while I can tell

Ashley is clearly playing the "at least 3 worse teams than us" card. Thing is, I'm not sure there is.

He never sees out 45.

I know it's an innocent typo but I'm wetting mesen laughing at this.[emoji23]

I would argue Sir Bobby's England squad was the best in recent memory, picking the best available players in their position regardless of their team's division. The fact that one of the 'big teams' hadn't managed to sign the likes of Gary Pallister or Steve Bull didn't (and shouldn't) rule them out of contention for the national team. Did Pallister or Bull have zero top division experience? Genuine question. It's not like Colback plays for a fashionable club. The last player to be capped for England under us has moved on twice since that time. Don't think Bull ever played in the top flight.

Be like fishing in the sewers if Cleverley gets on their line.

In a heartbeat. You have enough Shabby already.

Warnock did a decent job for Palace previously.... in the Championship. Would've gotten a side with no cash to the play-offs if not for the club going into administration. There's not many decent PL experienced managers around tbf. Warnock doesn't even really have Premier League experience. Hasn't he only got the 1 season with Sheffield where he got relegated and the 6 months with QPR before he got sacked? He managed Notts County in the top flight many moons ago.

This presenter is shite at the draw for the second draw running. Hasn't got a Scooby.

I remember being dragged to Highfield Road one Friday night to watch Coventry entertain Oxford with Billy Whitehurst up front. He managed to kick Brian Kilcline full blast in the face without punishment, right in front of us, and my mate's white shirt took a blast of Killer claret, before Kilcline staggered off

Billy Meredith managed Coventry City many moons ago. Ex Mackem Billy Hughes. And of course the Billy/William side would be managed by one of the finest managers of all time Bill Shankly. Didn't know that about Meredith. Played for us and City. Had a lot of appearances for both. You know what, he didn't. And Ive lived for the last 40 odd years believing he did. And I have no idea why [emoji53]

Gotta think will bill billy Hughes Buckley Jones Will Grigg. Manchester United legend Bill Foulkes Liam Brady Willie McFaul Billy Sharp William Carvalho Billy Wright Billy MacNeill Boro legends Billy Ashcroft and Billy Woof Willie Johnston Will or William, as I'm called Will or William. I think there was a subtle suggestion in there that I don't know who Bill Foulkes is. Willie Morgan - another Manchester United legend. Star of the relegated side.

Gilks Bates - Elliott - Holmes - Upson Etherington - Oakley - Holland - Jarvis Le Tissier Fryatt Seems like Southampton and Leicester are the go to places if you're name is Matthew, deva. Damnit you ruined it for me! I'd managed Gilks Lowton Mills Upson Taylor Jarvis Etherington Le Tissier Fryatt Busby as manager.

But you missed Fletcher out[emoji6]

That might be the Manchester United followers.

Nah he isn't. He's awful man. He genuinely offers nothing as a central midfielder. Doesn't score, assist, or drive the team forward. And his distribution is shocking. A prime example of a player hyped to ridiculous levels to early and now consistently proving the hype to false. Cleverley will do fine at Everton like. Bit of a step up in class for him like.
-
Should have done it five years ago instead of clogging up the England midfield with his constant mediocrity.

Stevie G's Hollywood ball is like all passes. Hit his target= good. Doesn't hit his target = bad. Really? So you don't think there are passes that move the team better or create more openings than other types of passes? Very few of Gerrard's long passes are actually effective. They remind me of Cabaye's floated corners, which even if they hit their target, are still useless and pretty much shit. It was the way past its sell by date bit I was referring to. A successful long ball though obviously harder to pull off is a thing of beauty. Gerrard like Beckham before him does it without success too often though I agree. Hoddle was the master of this skill.

I reckon he'd do ok. He wouldn't pass much.

Such crap, I know you are just regurgitating commonly repeated falsehoods but Dzeko and Negredo are similar players who won the league with Man City last year. Plus didn't Giroud just beat a man in the air on the weekend to score an equaliser? Dzeko and Negredo are both better, plus they also have Aguero. Giroud really is one dimensional. Knack of scoring goals but his all round game isn't the best.
