  1. I only wish we had "took it to them". We matched them for work rate but lacked in the final third hence we didn't take it to them. I'd like us at home to show more attacking intent and let the opposition worry about us rather than the status quo which sometimes works but isn't sustainable. At least if you do go at them you aren't left wondering what mightve been. Which I do now. No doubt in my mind if we leave a defensive midfielder out and play a more attack minded formation with HBA starting, we give ourselves more chance of winning the game.
  2. Everton have shown that it is possible to be both solid and play exciting attacking football this season, and without major investment. Pardew as a rule has two ways of setting us up: a) against a bottom half team - try to score early then defend for your life a) against a top half team - defend for your life then try to score late It's working well for us this season, as it did when we finished 5th. It's also incredibly predictable, pretty dull and goes completely out the window when the other team score first (unless they have two men sent off). Can't quibble with recent results but it's certainly not how I think we should be playing. There's no long term place for any sort of flair in the team and that's not how NUFC should be imo. Absolutely. Spot. On.
  3. Last time I remember Arsenal being really shit was before George Graham under Don Howe iirc.

It really isn't. They've been drawing rather than getting beat for weeks and every week somebody says it's a terrible result. They've kept themselves comfortably within touching distance with those points and will soon win a game or two and be in mid table. On the plus side, they'd probably be safe by now if Poyet wasn't playing the thick as mince yank up front instead of Fletcher. Can only hope for an injury to the Korean lad as he's comfortably the best midfielder down at the bottom, fuck knows why he's out on loan. Thick as mince yank

    Apparently he's very pewerly.
  6. That's the worst sitter since Louise Woodward .
  7. Always thought he'd partner up well with Freddy Adu.
  8. Consistent? Nah. He's done a good job everywhere save Sunderland. He's a good manager for a shoestring budget club. Wouldn't want him spending huge amounts. I'd argue overall he did do a good job there certainly miles better than his successors Nah...his successors have been turboshit and he merely shit. So better but did not do a good job there. Except from our point of view.
  9. You missed the inverted commas around the word support mate.

  11. Yup, so many better, bigger clubs down there that are more deserving of PL status, the likes of Derby, Forest and Leicester are 3 that spring to mind. I'd say Forest , Leeds, Sheff Wed. and Derby not fucking Leicester...always been a nothing club.
  12. See Curbishley has had an effect on Fulham Hate the Cockerney twat.

Badly hope they lose this I badly hope they lose this badly.
  14. Some people can't or won't see past the result for some reason, it we don't get beat we've done enough. The whole ethos of the club is dumbing down expectations - even if we went 8 games without winning, people would still point at the run we are on now and hold the view that its all we can expect....sadly unless we get a change of owner or attitude at the top, that IS all we can expect. Most fans will view a Top 10 finish as a 'good season'. I agree 100%. Fact is after last season it would be though. But with where we are currently , a bit of investment in January and who knows how high up the tree we can climb. We shall see what the ambition of the owner is like January that is for sure.
  15. I thought that Santon had lost the ball further back into our own half and admitted that I was wrong, I wasn't wrong that we'd come out for the 2nd half and sat back. Its amazing that people choose to ignore or don't have the intelligence to see this. It isn't like it's only happened once or twice or even periodically. Against sides that we are better than with a half time lead, we sit back with a keep what we have ethic.
  16. However, it's good to see Darren Fletcher back.
  17. With all of the rotation of squads and players, a retrospective 1 match ban ain't gonna deter them. The threat of a straight red and 3 match ban just might.
  18. Yup. They don't have the depth for a sustained campaign. We're nigh on halfway through. They may not need the depth .. Remember they missed Suarez for a while at the start and they've had periods without Coutinho. Now they're missing Sturridge, Enrique and their captain and they're dealing with it. If they make a couple of quality signings January, they could do it imo
  19. Merry Christmas to all.
  20. The EIEIEIO song and it's 3 variables. When we get promoted. When we get to Europe When we win the title
