  1. I bet he wishes you could glory hunt internationally too.
  2. He only managed to finish runner up in a Wayne Rooney lookalike competition. A West Indian won it.
  3. Anyone who "supports" Manchester United doesn't have any right to take the piss out of real supporters.
  4. Maybe they think employing a Mackem will prevent the Yanks on here jumping ship to worship Dozy Altitude.
  5. Definitely a General Melchett in his Plan A's and B's.
  6. Would push Jonas to third choice everything. Too good to be true imo. To me, you and Uncle Tom Cobley. But Alan Pardew?
  7. Man U supposedly offering 30 million for Fabregas.
  8. Pardew doesn't defend from the front. If anything, even if he didn't start Jonas he would probably use him on the bench to shore things up if we were protecting a lead. I could understand that tbh, at least it's better than starting him. We don't attack from there either.
  9. Makes him sound like a Savile victim.
  10. Bognor Regis. Stopping at Butlin's. Has tickets for Bobby Davro and friends tonight and is currently involved in 6 houses of bingo.
  11. didn't see that one coming Effectively signed a one-year extension which doubles his pay to 40kpw. Villa had all the cards with Benteke on a long-term contract and it being a WC year. Benteke was never going to win, at least for now. That's the thing, his agent played it totally wrong. Hence last week us saying "he can leave if someone offers us enough", "enough" being a stupid sum. Well done, Lambert, played a bit of a blinder on this one. Nobody expected us to keep him after a second good season and a decent world cup, anyway. Do you come from the future? If so, who should I bet for in the CL? He will be good enough, if he has another good season with us, I reckon to go to a top, top level club. The reason this whole Spurs nonsense came up is his agent - who, by all accounts, is an absolute nightmare - trying to shoehorn in another move before then. The thing about next season is over whether there's a release clause or not, ie really, we knew it'd be tough this summer keeping him, but also knew that if we did, it'd be for another year at most, assuming he continues to improve. If he improves as much as he has the potential to do so, he can go anywhere. I've a feeling he'd opt to stay in England, though, and it wouldn't surprise me if he went to Arsenal. That's a totally different move for him - who is going to go to Spurs when you've got the chance of Arsenal (and especially given he gave an interview last seaosn about how much he loved them as a club, in any case). 3... 2.... 1....
  12. Bathe a tiny penis? said Kinnear.
  13. 100%. This story I remember reading about as a 6 year old from a sports encyclopedia I had been gifted in 1974. Aside from my trip to Wembley the previous May, and unduly irritating my Dad for raving about KK , this story of undoubted bravery and courage helped me love the game of football. A great man!! R.I.P.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Ah another 25 mill to go with the TV bounty that Ashley could trouser.
  15. Were we ? Yeah I'd say so. We'd stolen the French market, had a few success stories and bought players that shouldve been beyond us. Cabaye, Marveaux, Ben Arfa and Ba were bargains. I felt like our transfer strategy was the best thing about the club (except the fans). But not anymore. You said this time last year though. This time last year we bought Anita and Bigi. Our reluctance to invest in a squad that had punched well above its weight the previous season was a major reason last season was such a disaster.
  16. We haven't received it have we, it's for this coming season? Hasn't stopped Norwich or Sunderland has it ? The notion that billionaires have to wait for money before they spend it
  17. Dunno, he hasn't spent any of this TV money bounty last time I checked.
  18. Edward Woodward? If I was Moyes I'd put him in the team....always good for an equalizer.
  19. Of course this is the correct answer. A recipe for disaster if ever there was one.
  20. You see, many clubs have invested with this bumper tv money, yet we aren't. I don't buy that we did all of our business in January, that was covering for the shortfall this time last year. So what is Ashley doing with this windfall ?

    Sunderland

That's hardly true though. Giaccherini is a quality player, Altidore has a lot of promise, and Cabral/Diakite/Roberge are good squad players. Typical Yank Mackem defending post. Just because they've got Dozy Thermidore.
