  1. Chuck him in a cell ,treatment does fuck all,George Best to my knowledge was a harmless mellow drunk while Gazza is a violent, wife beating pathetic mess George Best did a bit of wife beating didn't he?
  2. Will he be the first Welshman since Bellamy ?
  3. It's been said there is a thin line between genius and insanity. Gazza was once a genius but he has obviously transgressed since his England career was curtailed, prematurely in my opinion by Hoddle. The guy has issues most of us couldn't comprehend, and to attempt to make judgment on him seems wrong to me. He evidently needs treatment of some kind.
  4. Terrible decision by whoever this, a man who if needed can adequately cover a number of positions on supposed low wages? I agree with Wullie, Ronaldo and Dave here. Ridiculous, even financially, to sell a player with his uses. Yes you wouldn't want him starting regularly but will come in and do a job when asked. A good professional and squad member. We may end up regretting this.
  5. I came away from the mirror just to read that ,sweet cock.
  6. We should tempt Clarke Carlisle back out of retirement. Or put some studs on Stephen Hawking's wheels.
  7. A defensive midfielder's first quality has to be dependability. If Tiote understands the role, which is covering the back 4, winning the ball and giving it to a colleague in close proximity without risk, then he'll be fine. It's a big "if" though. Because he takes far too many risks.
  8. When told by his father that he expected him to score against England, young Hussein replied,"It's in the bag, Dad!"

I don't think that Poyet wouldn't be out-passioned by Il Duce so for that, imo, at the very least he'd be a step up from the incumbent coward.

Well if that was the logic then we would never have signed Obertan, but someone clearly valued his experience in British football and thought that was priceless. Because we have a manager who would probably think that Paolo Maldini wasn't a worthwhile defender because he only averaged 0.5 tackles per game and wasn't 6'4" Indeed
  11. Perhaps we should crater thread solely for him. Maybe include a poll. Oh.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I think that is something that has been generally the case since Fred sacked Sir Bobby. They are loathed to praise us in any shape or form since then. This prat of an owner though gives them ammo far too regularly .

I've never witnessed James Tompkins be anything other than hoop fluid. Why we would see him improving our squad is utterly beyond me.

    Graham Carr

    He's a fine poster .
  15. Thanks for the answer, so eloquently put. But with all due respect I can't see the path you map out taking shape with Pardew and Kinnear in senior managerial positions at the club. Not just that, if you get a successful brand on the pitch, then the commercial aspect will always follow, but not so the case the other way round. I think we've got a fair squad and with a bit of depth added and a managerial upgrade, then there wouldn't be any reason why we couldn't be successful.
  16. It does. But apart from one good season, there has been a barrage of horrible decisions. They may not necessarily be aimed at riling us up, but at best, they show a great deal of contempt for the fanbase. This man needs to fuck off, for this shit will continue. Fully agree, he's been utterly terrible with the fans and seems to go out of his way to alienate everyone at times. I just don't care that much, as I say, as long as we're financially upwardly mobile and make sensible transfers for the next few years. On one level (and in a very small way) I kind of enjoy the fact that he clearly doesn't give a fuck as long as he thinks he's running the club right, because the last thing we'd want is a marquee-signing politician like Shepherd in charge. But yeah, Ashley should give more attention to cherishing his supporters and I'm always shocked at the extent to which he doesn't. It's not on. But if you say that the quality of the next owner we get is basically random (i.e; could be a terrible asset-stripping bastard, or could be an absolute legend who propels us to greatness) and then you offer me a chance between Ashley leaving now, and leaving in 5 years, I'd say yes please to the 5 years. Or I would definitely have said that prior to JFK coming back. Because 5 years of Carr transfers and frugal business will serve us very well. In what way , may I ask?
  17. One of the reasons we came up is because we couldn't shift on the highest earners, ie Colo, Enrique , Barton, Nolan etc. Even Smith. And he was the bloke who gave all of those, save Barton I believe, the high wage contracts.
  18. I would tend to agree, although you could argue that from his point of view he hasn't really ballsed up his management of Newcastle, at least not in the short term. He has returned us to the PL, the massive TV deal has arrived, the wage bill and transfer spending is relatively affordable. He doesn't have to pour his own money in. We have these disasters from time-to-time, but maybe Ashley doesn't see them like that. I don't understand the reasons for stuff like appointing Kinnear, maybe he just thinks he can do it without doing too much damage. He seems to underestimate the effect of these changes on results as well. But if our finances continue to improve and we provide him with a distraction from Sports Direct and something else to entertain him, he might not think he's ballsed it up at all. The problem is we could do so much more given the right conditions. But if he doesn't care about that, he doesn't care about that. You cannot say returning us to the Premiership is an Ashley achievement , it was his fault we weren't in it to start with . Not so sure about that. We'd been on a pretty grim path for a long time before he took over But never in peril of relegation. His constant fuck ups were the catalyst to us going down absolutely no doubt about it.

  20. Maybe a phone call to the officers in charge of Operation Yesterday wouldn't go amiss.

absolutely this, and I disagree that Kinnear can appoint the next manager, that's ashleys remit no one else. I sincerely hope pardew goes and someone of some sort of calibre is appointed but this is nufc who of any calibre or common sense will want to work directly under uncle joe. What have we got now though?

    Alan Pardew

he'll have the remit and decide he's the best man for the job-best shape of his life don't you know and he did just a cracking job with us top of the table while he was here last what could go wrong I'm fairly sure he won't..might be wrong like but I cannot see Mrs Kinell allowing her husband to take such a high pressure job. Having said that she might encourage him just to get rid of the cunt.
