All down to that point we didn't get at Forest

Nathan Baker is a fucking shocking footballer

Fatheed is old news, who cares. Have never actually been to Selhurst Park so fair enough re it's minging-ness. Normally decent to watch matches there on the box. I've been once and even then it was to see Wimbledon knock us out the league cup. Right bugger to ge to aswell. I was there for Ruel Fox's debut against Wimbledon. Shithole then and the home fans end was called the Sainsbury's supermarket end

For us senior folk, Bob Todd is there too.

Brighton are shit

Because of Birmingham City I guess Yeah, but surely a bit over the top? Not like them is it?

Knockaert reffing the game now. How he hasn't been yellowed for umpteen stints of dissent I'll never know.

Ref might as well put a Brighton shirt on

Villa will roll over for these anyhow.

Not from Chinatown (?) I think like McGrath also, he was born here but raised in Dublin.

In the time we've been in the league we've both won league 4 titles, both are pointless stat's as neither team have won it in any of our lifetimes. Nice try

Thinks he'll be back for the second Test match

I can't quite pin down what they need for next season. Probably more quality across midfield and attack. Bailey is starting to grow into a good defender, but they need a good left back and probably a CB to play with him. Valencia is good at RB. They need a DM to help Herrera and Pogba. Then they need 2 or 3 quality attackers. It feels a bit like they're slipping back to the pre-Fergie days when they were spending millions but ending up no better off. It was noticeable tonight that City totally dominated them physically. They need a player like Wanyama or Kante who can compensate for some of their team mates' defensive frailties. It's difficult for a manager in this situation in the sense that they want to improve the side but they also need to give the team a chance to gel. It feels like no-one since Fergie left has known what their best side looks like. There's so much pressure to get back into that top 4 right away. Ferguson's stroke of genius as a manager came when he'd finished second to Leeds after quite a tight battle. In the close season, he bought precisely no-one. He gave the message to his players that they were good enough. Cantona's arrival a few months later gave them a boost, but that show of nerve by Ferguson was very important. So maybe not too many new faces. Just one or two. Except Dion Dublin.

To the naked and uneducated eye more like. Hayden virtually since day one here has excelled at doing the donkey work that many don't see. Even last night aside from a cracking strike for his goal, he hardly put a foot wrong. His passing was crisp, he was always available to receive and his last ditch tackle in the area to deny them was textbook perfect. This lad has the attitude and the tools to be what he wants in the game. He's not Arsenal like, as someone said last night but he does remind me of a poor man's Vieira. And he has plenty of time to improve.
