The finish is ludicrously good like. He doesn't stick out a leg and just guide the ball, he perfectly like plucks it out of the air with a crisp hit into the corner. Crazy finish.

I think probably Martinez and De Ligt are the only ones I'd be excited by.

But you don’t think missing our best pressing defenders is a factor?

Don’t think he was far behind mind.

Welcome to Murphyworld.

Have we forgotten what Eddie Howe has done since he got here or something? Man Utd under Ten Haag FFS, get real man.

Unfortunately he’s finito. Should’ve looked for a Saudi move this summer.

Hopefully scoring will settle him a bit, saw a lot of complaining in the first half. I know all strikers want the ball every time like.

We were the better team in the first half, particularly the first part. We deserved to be ahead at half time. After half time we were average, but still the goal seemed a ridiculous set of events (haven’t seen a replay). After the goal we went to pieces, but IMO what Spurs did was mainly to do with our mistakes and shaky confidence. Either team could have won but they introduced people like Werner who are never going to score, and one of our breaks was a good one. Putting Werner up against Tino and Murphy is borderline kamikaze. Weird game and hard to assess but I don’t think the win was lucky.

Don’t know why commentators haven’t adjusted to the world of VAR. Scoreline apps haven’t either. A goal isn’t a goal any more, it’s a potential goal pending a check.

Broken record but we signed him because we needed more goals in the forward line, and that’s what we’re going to get.

I’d just finished saying how bad the sub was when he raced through and created the winner

As a confirmed hater, I thought he had quite a good game at times. Will always have those horrific moments where he does things that no other PL midfielder can do, but did some good things as well.

Think we just about deserved to win that. Had a really terrible spell after their goal (which in itself seemed soft) but IMO it was the fragile confidence that emerged and not because Spurs were better. Always thought we could get a second, although obviously they could too. Massive win in the end, great start to the season points-wise.
