Don’t think he plays best out wide though.
-
Chelsea will invite pressure on themselves by playing out from the back, hopefully it will go badly. We're in a better position than a lot of clubs, even if the window has been disappointing (so far).
-
Ah did it? I must be suffering more than I thought. Still under two weeks, and that includes a weekend.
-
That sounds a good change, without clicking the Tweet, but will obviously lead to yet more confusion over what the handball rule is.

The shark has been well and truly jumped

We really only were linked to Guehi less than a week ago, weren't we?
-
Guess we'll never know since he'll be playing for the toon
-
Seems impossible that they won't cash in. Letting him go for free would be a disaster.

Happy to admit I thought Jacob Murphy was absolutely useless. Now I'm planning a Juicy tattoo.
-
I honestly think a lot of it just just because Miggy is left footed. That's what causes him to do things that frustrate fans.
-
Looked scary in pre-season, rampaging forward as well. Should have an immense season. Feliz aniversário Joey.
-
That’s great work for a Wednesday.
-
Miggy’s effort isn’t the kind that qualifies as minimum expectation though, the guy can close down three players on his own. His work rate is exceptional.
-
Just get to the PL, London and earn loads of money I guess. Not too bad overall.
-
TBF he's been getting shit for as long as I can remember, there's only been one period where people really got behind him.
-
It doesn't make sense that club don't wrap their business up earlier, but I suppose you could say that about any deadline in life. You don't have to run right up to it but it's hard to resist doing that.
-
Don't understand how Chelsea can do what they're doing. Makes it seems like FFP is voluntary.
-
We've got a great first team and decent options beyond that, but it would be very weird if we go a whole summer without a signing to improve us. I don't see that happening.
-
I still feel he was unlucky to sign for Rafa to play with Rondon and Perez and ended up spending so much time under Bruce. FWIW I thought in pre-season he was looking to run inside a lot more and get into different areas. Probably will leave anyway, so not worth too much energy on the debate.
-
It's not really about Miggy being good or bad, it's about his strengths and weaknesses and what people value. We know he's limited as a creator and scorer, but he runs endlessly and works his arse off. That's what managers are looking at, especially managers who need to think of defence (Benitez) or pressing (Howe). He's obviously now not of the level we want to be at, I don't think anyone denies that.

We're way past the point we can sell anyone good.
-
I think our lack of selling is a bit overblown. We had so many people to improve on or shift out, most of which aren't very saleable. Then we also had people like Wilson who entered the form of his career just as he might've been replaced. Personally I don't think we've mismanaged much and our transfer dealings have been excellent. In the specific case of Miggy, he works incredibly hard and he also had an unbelievable period of form. And there are only so many transfer windows per season and so many players you can turn over. Fair enough to argue that we should sell players like Miggy, Wilson and Murphy at the peak of their form... but that would probably cause as many objections as agreements.
-
You mean in a future window?
-
Hmm, yes and no. We can't just sell Miggy without confidence we are getting a RW in.
-
Tend to agree but sure we can do it without a new RW as well.
