Not enough Edmonds in the premier league.
-
Guess we don't have much to go on, definitely a possibility. Seems to have completely gone off the radar recently, but could be injuries (I haven't followed)

Bournemouth vs. Newcastle United: 25/08/24 @ 14:00 (Sky Sports)

I'm pretty sure we won't drop Hall, there's no reason to drop him so quickly. If it was away to a top club then maybe we would go all-defensive back four. -
Buy and sell a whole set of first team CBs, after the season started. Not something you normally see.
-
You go to Chelsea for money, that's the only real reason. So I assume anyone who went there isn't really a career or achievement-motivated player, not primarily anyway. I don't blame them but they can't be surprised when they don't get games.
-
I’m sure we don’t want to buy a CB now and another one next year.
-
It’s not really clutching, the window is open so it can’t be judged yet. I’m not sure we’ll get a CB and RW because finding those two deals for players of high enough quality is tough in 10 days.

If we don’t mind a draw I could see us playing a defensive back four, but otherwise I would expect Hall to keep his place. -

No he didn’t. Personally I think it would be much worse to be dropped for such a straightforward fixture. -
Of course, but (as you say) you have to understand the context too. We were coming off the back of a decade and a half of no care for the squad, and only a certain amounts of signings possible. Relegation a real possibility. Therefore you might logically decide that selling your best performing players is a risk you can’t afford to take.

This forum was annoyed by the unpainted shipping containers in Stack, TBF.
-
I know, but it feels like a spin on the transfer that makes it sound like he was just knocking around with nobody wanting him. Which I’m sure wasn’t the case. Anyway, doesn’t matter, I wasted fingertip skin typing both of these posts

Well Liverpool have been ‘linked’, whatever that means.
-
We can’t work out if we’re the only people interested in Guehi or he’s definitely going to Liverpool. People have gone bonkers.
-
If we want to be sellers I’m sure we can get rid of some brilliant players. The fact is a lot of our squad was worthless, or we couldn’t sell them at their peak because we needed them (Wilson, Miggy).
-
Bit cheeky to write Kelly as unattached. He came from another club.
-
I’m ecstatic about the direction of the club and this season is going to be class. But I do think it would very strange if we didn’t improve the team at all. I can’t deny that.
-
Agree but I hope we don’t buy him, just because of the reaction. I guess we’ll want someone younger anyway. Seems like we’re doing for a no-doubt signing in Guehi, so it would be clearly a step down.
-
The Guehi deal would be off already then, since we spent £10m on Osula.
-
We’d probably have to wait until next summer for a really top player. I guess.
-
Ironcially Solanke doesn’t take Spurs to the next level.
-
I think Gomez is a very decent player but I guess slightly older than we ideally want. And not quite in the Guehi bracket. Better than Krafth starting games at CB mind.
-
I want him here if we can agree a deal that's acceptable to us. It's really nothing to do with the player. Obviously takes the shine off a bit, it's better if it just gets done under the radar.
-
I hoped so but can’t see it happening in this window now.
-
You're right, we should've shifted out half the squad when Howe arrived
