Of course not, we were owned by Mike Ashley There's very little at Newcastle airport TBF, one small JD sports and a couple of other shops IIRC.
-
There’s a big difference between needing a sale for FFP to be selling your best player in the most important position. The FFP points deduction would probably be equivalent to losing Isak
-
Hopefully that’s on the radar, should be one in Metrocentre, Durham and probably others too.

I would ask Sala to play LB against the average teams, thanks to the bizarre choice of LBs in the squad. -

I think it would’ve been good for him to be asked to play deeper and do a job for the team. I think Kane is the most dangerous player in the England team, followed by Foden maybe. Building it around Bellingham is a mistake because it creates too many compromises elsewhere. -
Oh I know, but I meant the original claim about Mossad didn't mention Jewish people. Might have the wrong end of the anti-semitism, it's easily done
-
This is correct but I'm not sure that's what was happening here, was it?
-
Do they have a mechanism to do that?
-
Yeah, I can't see anyone paying anywhere near that unless they can get him off to Saudi.
-
Yep, unacceptable titling.
-
Both will be absolutely brilliant for us soon. Hall could easily be England's LB in not too long, and Tonali will transform us compared to Longstaff.
-
Wood is the only questionable signing IMO, and even that was fully understandable based on the circumstances at the time. And we got our money back. I would say our transfer activity has been very good to excellent so far. Just sit back and enjoy.

Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)

Yes, it's exactly what he was intended for. -
But our side players are terrible TBF.
-
I hadn't picked up on that, but I was saying that if we had a third striker it would be much more comfortable. Same if Wilson stayed really, he can't be relied on to be available when Isak needs a break.
-
I'm not against it if the club thing it can work, but I do have worries. I was kind of hoping the Wilson replacement would be a safer or more exciting bet. I can see him doing damage in the cups TBF. Maybe we still see Gordon as someone who can play in the middle still. And of course we have a few (although not many) less games to play.

Murphy's probably not 'that rich' for a footballer yet, he'd probably be on the plane before you'd finished your sentence. -
Speaking personally I haven't really seen him play this season, certainly not regularly. I'm mainly going on his reputation for being injured a lot. You're right he has some basic attributes that are good though.

It's a luxury lifestyle, I imagine you'll live in something like a 6-star hotel or apartment complex with your every need catered for. You can't get a drink but you can't drink anyway because you're a professional footballer. Go from your air-conditioned home to your air-conditioned training centre with twice-daily dips in your private pool. I think it'll be bearable. You're right about the career of course, but if you're already on the wane it might be preferable to dropping down a division in England.

Is this ‘we overspent’ argument new? What would have been the difference if we spent less last summer (preparing for a busy CL season) so we could spend more now? I’ve heard doubts about a few of our signings here and there but I haven’t heard the argument that we spent too much overall.
-
We can talk again when we sell a productive first team player then I guess.
-
My basic starting point is that people like Minteh were bought to sell. Of course he’s been good in Holland which makes it harder to accept, but I assume it was always the plan.

The new deadline day.
