I think if Dubs goes we’ll probably be the same or slightly better off.
  2. As usual he’s probably better than people are saying. Who knows.
  3. I'm not sure potential signings have to let us go through their personal finances. They might do some sort of financial check to see there aren't bankruptcy proceedings or bad debts etc, but that would be through an agency that does a check and gives you back a result, like if you go to work for a bank. It's not inspecting your bank statements line by line.
  4. Well pre-July PSR is still in the rolling 3-year period, so either way it's income.
  5. His highlights look decent, guess we'll probably never see him play.
  6. Yeah, like I said, it's because the PL is a members club and not a company. As long as you're in it you don't have an interest in growing the overall thing (if it would put you at risk). It's still odd though. Sometimes we talk about the PL as if it is a single thing with a strategy, when in fact it isn't.
  7. It never made any sense for the PL to vote to starve its own product of money, it's so strange. I don't know who voted for what and why, but I guess it's a combination of 6 clubs (or so) wanting to protect their lead and 6 clubs (or so) wanting to stay in the league as cheaply as possible. Either way it wouldn't happen if the PL actually had a directing mind or any kind of overall strategy for growth. It's just anti what you would expect for a money-hungry sporting league that wants to be the best in the world. If the Saudi state wants to plough money in they should be asking how much and how they can help. I wonder if the PL executives actually regret what the clubs themselves want to do.
  8. It is amazing that we're only a couple of years away from effectively not existing as a relevant football club at all.
  9. I think he'll start but there might be games where he needs a break or Howe wants to go more defensive.
  10. Yeah, sometimes I can't resist dipping into the other shows but it's almost always a mistake. And anything with Luke Edwards as a guest I just insta-delete, obviously.
  11. I think the question about training ground was about the only valid whinge from TF this week. As I keep saying I'm also concerned about offering Gordon for sale, but maybe that was just part of a general ring-around or a desperation measure that they never planned to use. Stadium is a massive project and a massive decision, so that will be slow. We would have got in Europe except for incredible back luck, both with injuries and the FA Cup result. So on the pitch we are doing exceptionally well. I think it's a shame that TF think they have to keep waffling every few days thorghout the summer. And the way they have aligned themselves with worthless football journalists and invite them to all their events is also a mistake. If you just listen to them when we win, it's not too bad
  12. Great signing, believe he would've gone to the Euros if the season was a little longer and Southgate wasn't obsessed with Luke Shaw's physio programme.
  13. I get the concerns about how we've managed this, especially the Gordon element. But on the other hand we did desperately need to spend money and we had a legacy of dire commercial income to back it up. I can understand the thinking 'we'll spend a bit now and make it work in the future'. If not for injuries/ban we could have easily been looking at two consecutive Champions League finishes, which is a borderline miracle based on where we started.
  14. He's not been displaying the best body language recently like.
  15. Seems a complication that he is a number one whereas Trafford would probably come without that guarantee.
  16. He’ll be ready for it in about 15 years.
  17. Anyway, it’s the real transfer window tomorrow, we can start bickering about incomings instead.
  18. Potential, but best in his position would still be a big result.
  19. Become one of the best in his position is quite a leap in itself.
  20. It’s not the case, I’m pretty sure. Although if we were really shopping Gordon to Liverpool then I may have to rethink. Who knows.
  21. The former I think, but I don’t really understand how it works given that it’s a constant rolling time period.
