I don't think the wingers we have play in such a traditional style. Yes, they sometimes will get to the byline and cross it, but they also make short passes in the approach and look to work the ball inside.
Guess if we hadn't been relegated when we did we wold have struggled along for another couple of years, the finances would have got even worse then we would have been relegated eventually with even more disastrous results.
He's right about most of that TBH, our fans can often be a hindrance to the players but when they're on song they're our great strength. Just a shame we got rid of the singing section.
I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. Cabaye and Colocinni are better players in their positions, imo.
Yeah, maybe, not worried anyway, I just meant that in time he would become an excellent player for us and arguably our most exciting.
He will become our best player in time, but that time doesn't have to be right now. We're playing well, the players in the XI have pretty much all performed, HBA is getting back to full sharpness. No problem, just ease him in slowly.
I always thought he was a capable manager before he joined us, remember thinking he was very good at West Ham for the most part.
But I'm still surprised by just how easily and quickly he's adapted to managing Newcastle, a job that many other managers have found rattles and overawes them. And he joined at a particularly chaotic time as well, and calmed things down very well.
Obviously, but at the same time you have to keep the squad happy and reward players who do well. For example, Leon Best could be rightly miffed to be dropped right now.
Good position to be in anyway.
I wouldn't be surprised if the deal isn't dependent on fitness either though, I think we would be prepared to take that sort of gamble to get a good deal.
He got some good praise on The Game podcast this week, saying Spurs incorrectly targeted him with Bale. They didn't mention the help he got from Jonas, but still. Think Redknapp overlooked that as well when he decided to target Taylor as a weak link.
The penalty was a big moment, until that I was convinced we were going to win. Like you say, we pressured them superbly but just couldn't quite make it tell. Then we shot outselves in the foot. Well more in the face, but you get the idea.
