  1. Surely he'll be replaced by our world-class January signing anyway.

Two wrongs don't make a right.
  3. Don't think it's as simple as having no loyalty to NI, they just want to represent their country, which they consider to be Ireland. No idea about Ferguson's individual case mind, as some people have said if he was that committed to the Republic wouldn't he already have declared for them?
  4. Yeah, my girlfriend is from Derry and basically thinks of Ireland as one country, who are represented in sport by the Republic team. She would probably cheer NI as well like, but her allegiance is to Ireland in general.
  5. How is good positional sense luck? It's a big part of any strikers' game surely.
  6. Totally agree, and it's great that Sammy has a little bit more ability than Shola and has a chance of achieving even more. I don't think Shola is a brilliant player, but he is a brilliant professional and brilliant lad. Happy to have him associated with the club, even if I hope we don't have to rely on him as a first-choice player.

It would be hard for him to have appeared much before now, he's had a broken leg for most of the time. FWIW, I'm massively excited about him and he looks the most skilful player we've had since Beardsley. Can't wait for him to get a run of games.
  8. Me three, potentially isolates Ba but I think it's worth the risk. Occupying them going forward is the best form of defence, and HBA gives us a fighting chance to do that.
  9. That Gareth Barry and James Milner get games for England is one of life's great mysteries.
  10. Thank God for your superior knowledge, my mind is at rest.
  11. Very interesting/worrying that he plays RB for Italy.

    Alan Pardew

Spot on, I've been saying for months that as long as we have Ashley it's in our best interests to have a manager that is prepared to swallow whatever it takes to work with him. Even if the fans think the club owner is often on the wrong path, it's even more harmful to have a manager that isn't aligned to the strategy. I'm not saying Hughton couldn't have continued, but Ashley and Llambias clearly trust and have faith in Pardew.
  13. Fuck worrying about where he may or may not move to man, he's our player on a five-year contract. Just enjoy it.

    Dan Gosling

I would have Gosling straight in the team if either Tiote or Cabaye got injured, would seem strange to send him out on loan.
  15. Wigan is 25 in the cheapest seats, just about to buy a couple.
  16. Presumably the foreign broadcasters pay Sky for the 'clean' feed of the games though? Wouldn't that revenue be in danger if they stopped the clean feed and made it a branded one?

Don't think anyone is taking it seriously TBH, chillax dude.

    Quite an assumption there!

    Alan Pardew

He was obviously going to say that though.
  20. True, but it would be strange to have consumers choosing the games they want to watch (i.e. just Newcastle) but the money being shared equally. Can't see the big clubs being happy about that.

No, it's exactly the same, the coverage focuses quite a lot on the top teams.
