Thought he was below-par compared to last season, but I also haven't seen the last 2 games in the flesh. Still not too bad, just one or two sloppy moments.
He isn't a bad signing at all, but Pardew needs to stop starting him. He just isn't better than Marveaux.
Maybe, but don't we need to keep Jonas on the left with Raylor playing LB? And is Marveaux any good on the right?
Might be tempted to play him in a midfield three with Cabaye and Tiote and sacrifice a striker. He looks very comfortable in that inside-left position.
This is the thing that makes me less worried by the departure of Nolan and friends. We should definitely be aiming for the top 10, we are more than capable of doing that even without the second striker signing.
Never thought SWP was that bad TBH, he's lively and will cause us problems unless we close him down properly. That said, if he plays behind the striker then hopefully Tiote and Cabaye should make him into a light snack.
Dzeko on the bench was a mystery, but still hattricks from Rooney and Aguero and clean sheets from the Man City boys.
Banking on young Timmy Krul and Cabaye to add another few points on Monday. And Tchoyi as well.
Yeah, Pardew has to say that everyone has a chance, Raylor has the shirt to lose etc etc, but there's no doubt Santon will replace him.
Whether it's in the next game depends on how he's feeling and settling into training I suppose.
Always mystified me why professional footballers suddenly revert to hoofing it when they have a tall striker on the pitch. Crouch suffers from the same thing. If defenders had half a brain he would probably be thought of as a much better player.
Liverpool have to learn to mix up their football and keep it on the deck even when Carroll is playing. I don't see why they shouldn't be able to, but I guess the easy option of long ball is tempting for all players
I think he's stuck at QPR for the duration of his deal TBH, at best he can maybe expect another bottom of the table club to come in for him if QPR go down.
I think some people underestimate how much of a ticking timebomb he's seen as in the football world in general. Rightly or wrongly.
Nobody said it was unreasonable, Cronky was arguing that if all we can get are players that are slightly better than Loven and Shola, we might be better off holding onto our money for a while longer.
