  1. Cheeky cunts on Sky saying he doesn't know what he's doing with it. Course he does man, he's an Ameobi.
  2. Fucking Ryan Taylor man, I wish the lad could get his all round game up a bit, he'd be some player!
  3. I'd like to see Vuckic start. BTW, are there other Sky games at the same time as this tonight? Guessing there are, meaning no London places will be showing it.

    The Arsenal

Always thought he was good. Guess being a young keeper in a young defence in front of a fragile midfield must be tough at times, but he'll do well if given enough time IMO.
  5. I still think Enrique's strength was his defensive ability rather than attacking. He made the odd great run, but generally it was his ability to stop wingers that I liked the most. With the midfielders we've got now, I wouldn't be sorry to have a slightly more defensive fullback.
  6. Whey there's not a lot of world class LBs about. We're hardly going to be signing Evra. A decent LB from a good European team is about as good as we're going to get TBH.
  7. Not sure how good this guy is, but I would feel a lot better having an actual LB at the club. Having the first choice Dutch GK and LB can't be bad either, profile wise.
  8. Yep, he's the face of what professional footballers could be like if they went pro from a Sunday league team at the age of 32.
  9. But he has signed for Liverpool... Good point.
  10. Hope him and Mrs Ashley don't have a joint bank account. She's not going to be happy when the statement arrives.
  11. Isn't it though? Clubs certainly get criticised when they sell players for less than they paid. Making money is how we can put the club in a better position financially, and hopefully afford to spend more on the right players. Ian man! We've made A LOT of money recently and we're still haggling over a million here or there for a left back! Yeah, but as I've said before that has to be understood against 10 years of large losses and quite a lot of debt. Anyway, pointless debate as it's been had a million times
  12. He probably deserves to play for Spain, but no more now than this time last month.

    Alan Pardew

I think we probably do have a better reserve side than last season. If that's what he meant then I agree.
  15. I think this too basically, I think most of our outgoings are explicable, and not done purely for profit. Yes we could have held onto Carroll, but the money was too good for most clubs to turn down. Yes we might have kept Nolan, but we were right to to match his West Ham deal. Enrique basically got too good to stay at his current club at the same time his contract was coming up. Every player that has left recently from our first team should have started this season, however I do agree only with the Nolan sale in terms of the fee and player's ability. As has been pointed out, if the chairmen had the ambition of other chairmen we wouldn't be a million miles away from what Liverpool have done. Liverpool's signings have been massive and overprices though, there's no way we have the spending power to match that. Unless Ashley used his own money of course, which he obviously won't do.
  16. Why? Just had the stuffing knocked out of me after this whole Barton fiasco. I was buzzing after the derby, and really looking forward to the two games this week. Yesterday was just a timely reminder that we're still owned and ran by useless cunts. Bit of a sickener, is all. Fair point, I was hoping the Joey thing was going to blow over as well. Hopefully a couple of players will arrive in the next week and give us a lift.
  17. Well whatever he sees at their training ground, they are likely to go straight back down.
