Say Best and Ameobi get 5-10 goals each, and Ba gets 10-15, that might be just about OK to go with any goals that come from the rest of the team. I want us to buy a centre forward, but I think a LB is probably more important at this point. Hopefully get both. (Not Bridge and Cole)

I'm not 100% convinced that a holding player will solve Arsenal's problems anyway TBH. I guess they need a leader, but it seems their biggest problem is not being incisive enough going forward. If they turned more of their possession into goals they'd be unbeatable.

Luiz is a cb though, I can see Ivanovic possibly replacing Bosingwa if Chelsea wanted to play more defensively but I'm hoping his recent display will give him a bit more game time. Yeah, I gambled on Bosingwa at the start of the season so hopefully he'll keep his place. He looks class whenever I've seen him, guess the lure of a more solid defensive player is strong sometimes though. Plenty of value in him if I need to swap him out anyway, and by then we should know who the freakishly good defence is this season (maybe NUFC!).

He looks a little soldier like, the way he reacted when the Fiorentina game was called off showed his will to win is there. Saw him in the NUFC club shop filming for NUFCTV before Arsenal, and he is absolutely miniscule. He could probably have smuggled himself into the USA in a suitcase for the tour.

Yeah, him and Forster have popped up at the right time with Harper getting on a bit. Not many clubs have so few worries about their next keeper.

In some ways Carr seems to behave more like an agent than a scout, except he's employed by a club rather than a player. Certainly seems to have a knack of finding the players who are unhappy at their clubs, have contract issues or are available at below market value for some reason.

I remember him being outmuscled quite easily and slow on the turn, thought he looked nothing like 10m central defender during our relegation season whilst Bassong was our best player and it came as no surprise that he was sold for 8m (12m with add-ons if I remember correctly?). Might be a bit unfair on Colo as our midfield during the 08-09 season was shocking and I can´t remember a single game where we didn´t get played of the park with the opposition dominating the midfield and attacking relentlessly. I remember Smith having to go back and head goal kicks away because whenever it went near Colo it would end up behind him. Doesn't matter now like, as you say the rest of the team was terrible, and now Colo's class so it's fine.
