  1. As in the three of us, or the people follow on Facebook/Twitter and have signed the petition? I just get the feeling that the movement will attract those who are negative about NUFC in general. I don't think I've seen a post from you that is anything approaching positive or hopeful. Not that I'm monitoring your posts or anything! I guess amongst those who have signed the petition it will obviously be mixed, but like NUST I guess any meetings/activity will attract the same kinds of anti-Ashley and overly-negative fans. Just my feeling like, from my own naive point of view.

Aside from Best who else from the first team would've started against Stoke bearing in mind he knew Ben Arfa and Ireland were crocked when he bought them? Basically without Barton, Jonas and Best (and Routledge, who Pards should never have loaned out) we're devoid of any attacking threat. Combine that with Jose going off and Ben Arfa being out for the season (which is due to his broken leg so wasn't known when he arrived) we're fucked. I honestly don't think the manager matters that much when the players on the pitch are as poor as we have now.
  3. I would rather hear what people really think TBH. I've no doubt United for Newcastle is filled with a lot of reactionary and hyper-negative fans (for good reason or not).

Surely injuries are the main cause of our recent poor form? Our squad is tiny and our reserve players are shite.
  5. But did Bale benefit from his spell at LB? And is Ferguson anything like Bale... or even like enough to be compared?
  6. We are significantly better now than we were in the relegation season though. I know it sometimes doesn't seem like it, but we are. I'm a lot more worried than I was a couple of weeks ago, but I still think we'll survive.

Well that's the weirdest logic I've heard for a while.
  8. We've been lacking French players for a while like, time to get another couple in.
  9. Some good points HTT, it's sad how important a rich backer has become in the modern game, and how much the spirit of the game has been damaged. Or maybe I'm just getting old!
  10. I still wouldn't be surprised if we end up buying him. Working hard in training and 4 or 5 decent performances might be enough to sway the club if the fee is low enough.
  11. It is a bit of a farce, but then nobody wants to be injured and I guess the club had no idea it was so bad.
  12. We got pretty fair in the Champions League with a lot of average players too, TBF.
  13. I didn't realise that away goals didn't count, that's a bit of a pain.
  14. Such cringeworthy tripe. Makes me almost physically ill every time I hear that sickening shit. It was the round of 16, against unglamorous opposition. Anything BUT a famous european night. I forgot it was on until I saw Andy Carroll grimacing on the front of the morning papers.
  15. he just has, seems to be getting a bit better with cutting out the reckless challenges, but agree it's highly unlikely he'll manage another 3... True, he has been slightly better. Fingers crossed anyway.
  16. Do the counters get reset in three games time then? Does it then become a one match ban? April 10 it gets wiped. That's bizarre. Anyway, there's no way Tiote will go three games without a yellow.
  17. If there's one thing internet forums have taught us, it's that we're no different to the other clubs/fans you mention.
  18. I'm not resigned to him leaving, if that's what you mean. I don't understand why you are. Until he's signed for another club I'll remain hopeful that we can keep him, we just signed Tiote up to a long deal. Obviously on balance of probabilities he's more likely to leave than stay, but I don't accept anything beyond that at this point.
  19. Would be chuffed with that. Decent amount of cash, and wouldn't have too see him on MOTD. I wouldn't be chuffed, but other than him staying it wouldn't be a bad outcome.
  20. Enrique for £10m would be the bargain of the year TBH.
  21. Can't really see Man Utd beating Chelsea and Inter... if they do then Fergie deserves a lot of credit for managing his very average set of available players.
  22. But he did say Andy Carroll is not for sale, when he was not in the position to do so. Howay man, what else could he say? He shouldn't have said anything. He is not in a position to make such claims. If he had said no comment the press would have gone with something like "Pardew in the dark over Carroll sale" or just used the fact he couldn't deny it to mean that he was confirming it. Either way he couldn't win, you can't really expect managers to be honest with the media all the time. And you can't get around that by not saying anything.
  23. That booking raises questions about temperament though.
