  1. Yeah, I mean it's obviously one of the 2 or 3 most difficult games of the season, so see what happens I suppose.
  2. I know we've had a lot of bad luck but I still think blood offerings are a bit much.
  3. He’s too sensible to do a Newcastle podcast really.
  4. Yep, changing to parking the bus is an option, but then he can't mix the messages and jeopardise the overall philosophy because of a bad spell.
  5. I wanted Burn and Longstaff dropped even when we were flying, I don't rate them. But it's not a factor in whether I think Eddie Howe is an amazing manager or not. He is, he's proven to be, he's proven to be a student of the game and someone who never stops learning. I would swap him for Pep and that's it. I don't expect the manager to make the same decisions that a fan would make. We had impossible fixtures followed by impossible injuries, that is the story of this season.
  6. That's only two mistakes TBF, and it's without a whole team of players in crucial positions.
  7. I get what you mean but I'm hoping we can argue FMV on almost all of our deals. If our sponsorship is worth 80% of Man City for example, I don't see how anyone can really argue against that.
  8. I do think the issue of unlimited memberships and no required purchase history is relevant too. But like we said at the time, I don't know where you would draw the line because attending before the takeover is actually worse than not attending
  9. Well no, it isn't if they had a digital team or put any investment into that area for the last decade. Maybe it's already planned, they must know the website is archaic.
  10. I can imagine a user interface where you could multi-select as many areas of the ground as you want, down to the level of individual blocks. But the website and the algorithm for drawing the ballot would have to be redone.
  11. Hard to make a call on it for me. Of course FFP might slow our progress, but you would think that a capable and patient exec would see it as a challenge to overcome, like he had to at Brighton. Maybe the job at Man Utd just seems more appealing to him. More control, more money, who knows? We know our owners want to progress the club and will do so as quickly as the rules allow. So I'm trying not to worry too much about what this means.

    Fabian Schär

Or he goes down too much because he’s a big girls blouse?
  13. Think it was imagined that Willock and Joelinton could spend some time on the left side too.
  14. I never agreed that replacing Miggy was a priority last summer. It’s next on the list but I can understand why it wasn’t done given the work rate we need from a Howe winger.
  15. Not sure TBH. I know he was on gardening leave for quite a bit, yeah.
  16. The fact that they’re prepared to wait seems to suggest they really aren’t that arsed about their new project. If there is one.
  17. Not sure Longstaff affects the game much at all, but people seem to disagree.
  18. Reminds me of Stephen Ireland, something wrong in the head.
  19. When Willock comes back we should move Mikey to the right and drop Sean.
  20. It’s fairly mad that we’re not all just sat here enjoying having such an amazing manager. Football is odd sometimes.
  21. Did people set their goals for the season based on having everyone injured?
  22. I think the Gallowgate is very heavily season ticket, isn’t it? I’ve never got a ballot ticket there ever. I was sat near a guy who had obviously been in the same seat for decades. Turned up mortal 10 mins late, left early for HT and left 10 mins early to get back to the club for a couple more pints It’s not to do with the type of fan. That said, allowing singers (ST and ballot) to group together is probably the only way to save it. FWIW there was little signing were I was but the ‘atmosphere’ was very lively. It was just more standing and shouting stuff than singing songs
  23. I think having a plan B means having different ways to play in different scenarios and opponents etc. I don’t think it means having much of a plan of what to do if your whole team is out injured. I don’t think any manager spends much time on that incredibly unlikely scenario. He can’t change the philosophy he is trying to implement because of something that’s temporary. We could play more compact, sit deep and just park everyone to try and grind out results, but I can’t imagine we would be on any more points than we have now. This season is a freak, we just need to enjoy the rest of the games and start fresh next time.
