  1. They can FUCK RIGHT OFF!!! Not that it's probably true.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Agreed, I've already got one Ben Arfa shirt like, but I might be tempted to another if he gets into the French team regularly.
  3. Ugh, enough with that myth. Ugh, enough with the myth that that's a myth.
  4. I have Stockholm syndrome with Shola, I've fallen in love with someone who has caused me a lot of hassle. Let's face it, he's not really a top-level striker, but then neither are a lot of the forwards knocking about the lower reaches of the Premier League. He's served us well on the odd occasion he has played to his full potential, and he deserves respect for always giving us his all and helping us out with some important performances/goals.
  5. Yep, he's quality, they won't let him go unless they sign another forward though IMO. The Aguero move seems pretty unlikely.
  6. Although West Ham say they are happy to have it with a running track. If that is the case then fair do's, they should have it. Provided that they raise their own finance and not get public money from the Council. Admittedly, Arsenal got money from their Council to help build the Emirates but just because a poor decision has been made once, that's no reason why it should be done again, especially in the current financial climate. Yeah I know the club say they're happy, I was thinking more about the fans and the experience of watching football there.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I don't know either, my guess is that he's tired of the circus his career had become and always having too much expected of him. Maybe he's found a city that's about the right size for him, a dressing room that he feels comfortable in. Add to that 50,000 fans who will love him like their own, and you've got a pretty appealing package. Maybe he's just not the sort of personality that revels in the biggest stage, Man Utd, Real Madrid etc. They might also have been wary of his character.
  8. They are not like English reserve teams. We can't chuck Hleb there for example. Only U23 players can be placed in a B team, or players especially contracted to the B team which can't be included in the team's main squad. Ah right, that makes more sense then. Still think it's a bit harsh on the clubs that only exist in the lower leagues... in theory everyone is part of the same league structure.
  9. The B teams thing also allows big clubs to stockpile players though, no? And it harms the chances of clubs lower down the leagues. Loans should be allowed to clubs below your own division, give the club a boost and the player some experience.
  10. Good article, I always wondered why the retractable seats thing wasn't done during construction. Anyway, it seems any outcome is a bad one for someone now really. If Spurs win they have to leave Tottenham, if West Ham win they have to play in a stadium with a running track.
  11. Should be absolutely no loans to clubs in the same division, I've got no idea why it was brought in.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I don't want him back until he's totally ready, but still good to hear that he's doing well in training.
  13. Those Graeme Fenton goals were a hammer blow, that was when I really knew we weren't going to win the league.
  14. Big Sam getting the job was pretty grim, I knew he was going to be so wrong for the club. Not as worse as relegation, but I do remember Sam's reign with nothing but disgust.
  15. This cloud has a massive silver lining. Might actually consider getting Sky Sports now!
  16. Interesting map, just goes to show that only Arsenal have completed a move anywhere similar to the one proposed by Spurs, and they change their name to do it. Another problem is that Stratford is already bang in the middle of West Ham and Leyton territory.
  17. So do I, but we obviously won't. We just need to hope for more Tiote/Ben Arfa type bargain buys, that will be our approach I'm sure.
  18. I don't care about the actual amount of wages. If the club are happy that it's a decent deal then whether it's £30k or £45k makes absolutely no difference. I'd be more worried about Ireland as a character and how he might affect the dressing room. The good thing is that he has something to prove after being a forgotten man at City and flopping at Villa. The question is why his form at Villa has been so bad, and if he can achieve anything near his original City form. If he can he's a class player.
  19. The main thing is that is reveals their ridiculous attitudes, and shows them to be a pair of dickheads. It's depressing to think people even still think like this TBH.
  20. I don't think he's a 'puppet manager', I just think the club has placed quite tight restrictions on how much can be spent on players, and it is difficult to get good players under those conditions. No doubt the club is working hard to get players on their terms, signings are always pretty difficult in January anyway.
  21. It's just because he looks a bit like Colocinni.
  22. I would be massively sceptical about Ireland... the one thing we can't afford to do is disrupt the togetherness of the squad with any bad apples. It's our biggest strength.
  23. I hope that Pardew would have known exactly what the situation was before he took the job. I think it's highly unlikely he would resign over lack of signings.
