Incredible today, we're lucky to have him.
-
Aye much better in the second half, kept it nice and simple.
-
Exactly, it was a fierce shot through bodies, he did alright. Just unlucky with the bounce.
-
To be fair to Owen he's seemed reasonably sharp when he's got on the pitch this season... he might do alright if he gets more game time.
-
Two words: Sebastien Bassong. Aye, fair enough we did it with him, but we were relegated at the time.
-
Good - Faustino Asprilla.
-
I don't why everyone is suddenly convinced we're going to sell all our good players. We just bought the lad FFS, we've got him locked down.
-
Of course he will, here with us.

The quotes in the press are nowt at all, massive overreaction from some people on that. I haven't agreed with all his decisions, but we've won enough games and we're 8th in the league, I'm not going to complain if things keep going like they are.

I honestly don't know how any one can criticise Pardew yet... bar Stevenage we've been at least as good as under Hughton, probably a bit better. He's also been without Carroll for quite a while. Far enough if people just don't believe that he is the man to take us forward (for whatever reason), but for what he's done so far he deserves no criticism IMO.

If I was a player, I'd love to play for Blackpool right now, seems a great place to be. (Except the town, obviously)
-
I tend to agree with you, but missing out on two players doesn't mean it's a lost cause. If anything, it might mean we get players who are more hungry and motivated to play for us.
-
Aye I know, that's my worry. Still, so did Joey Barton's until recently... it's not impossible that someone can change.
-
Same as with S Taylor, everybody has to fall into line under the new regime. I want Barton to stay, but the club won't break the whole wage structure for him.
-
Agree The England call up would have gave him belief as well. I think he is an upgrade, Reasonably quick and has a left foot like a hammer. If he can embrace playing for a top club he could be a very astute signing Pretty much my feelings as well. He isn't the mega signing or the young lad with years of potential, but he could do a surprisingly good job for us if he manages to make the step up. Just hope his head is in it and his attitude is spot on, because we can't afford to be rocking the boat.

At this point any criticism of Pardew must be either based on a couple of things he's said, or based on hypothetical failure in the future - because while he's been here he's done virtually nothing wrong.
-
Obviously it's a risk buying Bothroyd. He might turn out to be able to cut it in the Premier League, or he might end up another Beckford. If he's any good at all then he's better than any striker we have bar Carroll.

To be fair, that Empire tower is a decent little building.
