  2. Krul isn't letting us down, therefore I don't see a case for bringing Harper back in. We'll benefit in the long-run from all this brilliant experience he's getting.
  3. I love the use of "claiming" in that, as if Sky have insider knowledge about it and we should assume that Carroll and Nolan are guilty. Some of the stuff the press have come up with recently would defy belief, if you didn't know what Simon Birds they were.
  4. He seems to be doing what all managers should be doing really, treating every player fairly regardless of their past*, not discarding anyone and being flexible in his views. Consumate pro at the moment. * With the possible exception of Xisco, who I can only assume must be god-awful in training!
  5. I wouldn't be against resting Nolan and one of the strikers, moving Barton inside and bringing Routledge and Ranger in.
  6. I've slaughtered Nolan and Shola in the past, and rightly so IMO. But they both have impressed me this season, and deserve nothing but credit. We're a team that is starting to become more than the sum of its parts.
  7. I think this is the thing Wenger will be most annoyed about. I said during the game that I was amazed they didn't just keep patient and carry on probing... you would have thought they would have got enough encouragement that it would create some good chances. Probably just frustration got the better of them because they expected to batter us.
  8. So has everyone changed their minds on the lad then? He got some immense stick not so long ago. Obviously he looks much better in comparison to James 'what position am I playing again?' Perch, but still... the turnaround is impressive. (FWIW I agree he's looked much better recently)
  9. Very likely Yep, if we are taking Liverpool as still one of the top 4 rather than Spurs. I'm counting the Man City game though.
  10. I would rather he wasn't mentioned in the media, but he deserves a lot of praise.
  11. They've got Carroll and Shola, but then again we've got Shola and Carroll. Should be tight.
  12. Walcott is really a striker... he needs to be played through the middle IMO.
  13. I do as well... tomorrow should be good. I'll be going with the quiet and understated but secretly smug approach. Might just wear my scarf to our team meeting, that's all. I think they'd be more concerned at seeing your knob rather than the result if you did that like. Touche. I meant along with clothes, obviously.

  15. Well obviously I'm not in a position to know the fitness and condition of individuals, but in principal I think we should be expecting the same team to play again. Just take it easy a bit in training. Problem is if we lose at home to Blackburn it will be a decent-sized setback. Barring injuries I would hope we could put out a strong side.
  16. Dominated Walcott today, can't overstate how brilliant this guy is.
  17. Did you copy and paste that from 1998? Seriously though, he has looked good in recent weeks and having a partner like Carroll really helps him (unlike most people who have Carroll as a partner).
  18. Can we stop referring to him as a man? He's so much more than that.
