I wouldn't be against resting Nolan and one of the strikers, moving Barton inside and bringing Routledge and Ranger in.

I've slaughtered Nolan and Shola in the past, and rightly so IMO. But they both have impressed me this season, and deserve nothing but credit. We're a team that is starting to become more than the sum of its parts.

I think this is the thing Wenger will be most annoyed about. I said during the game that I was amazed they didn't just keep patient and carry on probing... you would have thought they would have got enough encouragement that it would create some good chances. Probably just frustration got the better of them because they expected to batter us.

So has everyone changed their minds on the lad then? He got some immense stick not so long ago. Obviously he looks much better in comparison to James 'what position am I playing again?' Perch, but still... the turnaround is impressive. (FWIW I agree he's looked much better recently)

Well obviously I'm not in a position to know the fitness and condition of individuals, but in principal I think we should be expecting the same team to play again. Just take it easy a bit in training. Problem is if we lose at home to Blackburn it will be a decent-sized setback. Barring injuries I would hope we could put out a strong side.

By the way, couple of embarrassing dives by Nasri and Chamakh in the first few minutes... they were very lucky to get away without bookings.

It's been a long time since we were actually competent at set pieces, it feels good to not be shitting myself every time one is given against us. And corners for are a million miles better than normal, we have so many targets in the box and Carroll is almost unplayable in there. A big part of this is also the size of the team now... we've gone from being a team of piss-weak dwarves to one of the biggest and strongest sides around.

Well the top is really decided before the season starts, just because it's obvious who the best teams are. The rest this season is really hard to predict. After 11 games we're 5th, but only 5 points away from the bottom 3. I think it will take a lot longer than usual to sort out this season, I'd say about 25 games before we start to see who's likely to go down and survive.
