  2. Would be interesting to see how he would do for Hull. I would guess start maybe 15-20 games, a good smattering of injuries and around 5 goals. I wouldn't pay much for that if I was them.
  3. It's so bad it's good!
  4. Bit of a strange signing by City. He might do well, but essentially he's only had one good season in England.
  5. Haven't all the gods already signed for Madrid?
  6. I know what you're saying, but there's got to be a bit of give and take. I mean, you could say that any of our players would look good if they had Rooney and Ronaldo creating chances for them, but that rarely happens in the real world. For us, Owen was a waste of time last season.
  7. Aye, you can't 'sort out the wage structure' when players are on pre-existing contracts with time left to run. Seems like slashing investment was a reckless gamble by Ashley that didn't pay off. If it had we might actually have been much better for it.
  8. Tomorrow never comes. No idea when something will happen, I've stopped reading what's happening to preserve my own sanity.
  9. eh? WE won't be getting a good fee, the money will not be going towards new players for us, it will be going straight in the fat cunts pocket. No money has gone into Ashley's pocket FFS, he will be selling the club at a significant loss by the looks of it.
  10. I disagree, we need to start confronting this kind of casual abuse of people based on their sexuality. It's not on.
  11. I'd like to see him given a go, seems like he's had to battle through a complete mess at the club with no encouragement from the staff. We just need this limbo to be over so that we can stop wasting time... can't see it happening in time for the season though.
  12. Richards scored for the U21s this week I think, people forget how young he is.
  13. Yeah, the game was perfect for him, but I've always been a massive fan anyway. His corners were dodgy I suppose, but the margin for error is small the way he whips them in. Should have got MOM tonight I reckon.
  14. Only Enrique, as I think we have a (small) chance of keeping him. Jonas and Oba I would like to see stay, but unlikely.
  15. Couldn't have asked for more throughout this qualification. And Beckham is an artist like, lovely performance to watch tonight. Still think he has a place in the squad. Also, Alan Green is an absolute cock. Would never tire of punching his face.
  16. Marcotti is an intelligent guy, the stereotype only exists because tabloids and pundits need a soundbite - they don't have the time or incilination to deal with stories properly.
  17. Yep, I'm the eternal optimist but I've never ever been so down about my Football club anyway. No clue what will happen next season now. Exactly the same, just hoping against hope that something will be sorted soon.
  18. Ronaldo and Zidane were both geniuses in their own ways. It was electric to watch Ronaldo in his prime, he just had no respect for defenders and took them apart with ease. But then Zidane had the best touch and awareness of anyone I've seen play, he always seemed to make the right decisions and never gave the ball away. Both amazing players, privileged to see them.
  19. Albert v Man Utd, poetry in motion. The 5-0 win generally. Martins v Spurs was class.
  20. To be fair there were mixed messages on that yesterday. The Chronicle's source stated they'd spoken to Ashley/Llambias, but the BBC report on Five Live said though definitely interested they'd not contacted the club yet. They may well be genuinely interested, but just haven't hit 'send' yet... Ah right, fair enough then, I'm still going to stop following this story for a week or so. Getting serious hope and let-down fatigue now.
  21. Don't get why the Profitable Group would say they've had a meeting if they haven't. Then again, why would the club say they hadn't if they had! Wake me up when we've been sold... can't be bothered with this anymore.
  22. We still don't know anything about what's happening, would love this bod to go through but still just a case of wait and see.
