  1. I'm going for lunch, when I return I expect everyone to have become rational and calmed down
  2. I was led to believe you were going to be listing some facts in that post.
  3. Unbelievable that 'Keegan meets with Newcastle Board' can be a headline. In other news, 'Buses leave and arrive at destinations', 'People start work at 9am this morning'.
  4. Oh ok then whoelse would it be einstein? Your stirring is reaching professional levels this morning Bontempi! Got to say well done
  5. we dont know there was ever a offer and ever if there was it may have not been a good one. Guy who broke the story said 3 clubs were under consideration - Arsenal, Man City and Newcastle. Ashley wouldn't sell/overpriced the club so Abu Dhabi went for City instead. Well done Ashley. You c*nt Have the Adu Dhabi lot done anything yet to make you think you'd rather have them than Ashley in charge? They've only been at Man City about 18 hours for fuck's sake.
  6. That post is dangerously well thought out, theregulars. I think you might have come to the wrong place though!
  7. You're right, I'm beginning to think this is just press rubbish!
  8. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being hysterical and completely unreasonable, the speculation and rumours surrounding this club have now reached about 75. Everyone needs to use some common sense and chill the flip out.
  9. It's insane, I don't think it's true - but I can't help feel a little bit sick about the mere possibility. And I want the club to make a statement - even though I've already explained why they won't! It's mad...
  10. 5 Live are known to have become more tabloid and dumbed-down in recent times though, the fact they are reading out annonymous messages about this confirms that fact. Keep the faith everyone, this isn't going to happen.
  11. The way they've reacted to the sensible spending we have done is a good indication.
  12. Very dissappointed with them if they are putting it like that. Still nothing coming out of any reputable sources.
  13. Let's make no mistake, under the previous regime we were in dire financial shape and in danger of a relegation that could well have damaged this club beyond repair. I can remember the good times under Hall/Shepherd, the signing of Shearer, the first KK era etc, but it had one badly of the rails and we were headed only one way - down.
  14. Call a big press conference on Keegans Future..... Keegan and Ashley sat side by side. Terry Mac brings in 2 pints of Broon Ale. KK and MA down pints in unison, stand up and walk out. Job done Ever thought of a career in PR? That's class!
  15. He probably doesn't even know this is going on. If he does I would be surprised if the club call a press conference to respond to baseless media speculation. That would only give attention and credibility to the story. I would like to see them side-by-side giving a statement, but even that would be turned into something it wasn't. They can't win either way.
  16. I was just about to create a thread exactly like this, well done sir. We are in a much better position than at any time in the last few years. Yes, we aren't back to challenging at the top, but our club has been taken from terminal decline into hopeful progress. I've not felt better about being a Newcastle fan for a long time, I'm just embarrassed at some of my fellow supporters at the moment.
  17. How does that work then, it would pay out if anyone else leaves their job first?
  18. I bet Kev's tucked up in bed now to be honest, after all he was up until the early hours having a UFC-style cage fight with Mike Ashley, while Wise, Vetere and Jimenez booed and pelted him with rotten fruit. That sort of thing would take it out of anyone, especially since he needs the energy to through a hissy fit and 'storm out' later today. © The Daily Mail
  19. I've never seen the big problem with them being 'London based' (boo, hiss), as if being based in London is inherently evil or something. I doubt they're signing many players from North Tyneside, I think they would spend a lot of time away from the city anyway. And as for them not being good at their jobs, I'd say the players we've brought in so far suggest otherwise. It isn't their job to identify Robinho etc, anyone can do that from the comfort of their front room. We're digging deeper to spend more sensibly.
  20. Where did you get that from? My imagination Ah, I thought so! This whole thread comes from the imagination of a Daily Mail journo anyway, so you're in good company.
