The more I read this forum the higher my score becomes.
-
Owen Viduka (if he stays fit the rest of this season) Butt (as long as we realise it's as a squad player) Ameobi (to sell) Not sure about Harper, I don't know enough about the progress of our other 'keepers. Do we need a goalkeeping coach? How old is Edgar? I haven't seen enough of him to decide either way really.
-
The most worrying thing were the transfers though, although I suppose he would say that was Daniel Levy,

Failure's alright in football, as long as it's high profile enough.
-
Our biggest failing has maybe been not looking after players' development. And their fitness of course.

I'm struggling for ideas at the moment, the current logo is actually pretty good. -
Well every club relies on fitness to a certain extent, you can't do anything without fit players. Surely the signs for us on that score aren't too bad at the moment.

I might have a go, done a bit of logo design before in my previous job. -
On Pro Evo, I never take Martins off because he can get you something out of nothing at the end of the game... especially on the break. Case closed
-
Yes. That was easy.

People keep saying this, but I don't know where it comes from at all. Aye, obviosuly he'd probably rather be playing for Chelsea, but who wouldn't? I suppose we'll find out. I don't think Liverpool or any of the other big 4 will come in for him, but if he gets that sort of move no one can hold it against him. It's more likely he'll end up somewhere else though, like Villa maybe. It won't be because he's not loved enough by the fans though, it will be because he thinks he can do better. Right now, I wouldn't blame him for leaving, wherever he went.
-
True, he won't be sold in January, there's no way.
-
That's literally mental mate, good job
-
If the club had been sold then that might have been true, but it was never likely.
-
From those quotes it actually seems as though Owen understands the problem and is being patient. Obviously we still need to get him signed up ASAP.
-
Fair enough, thinking of Bassong as primarily a centre back does make it a bit different. I still wouldn't like to see Enrique replaced for no apparent reason again though.
-
I would say if anything most Newcastle fans tend to be too pessimistic.
-
OK, well maybe not 'ridiculous', but I know if I was asked whether a mate of mine would fancy a money-spinning move to the premiership I would say, 'yes, he'd be perfect'. Also, I would naturally want my friends and countrymen to come and help me out. I suppose it would reflect badly on them if the signings flopped, so they might be more careful than that.
-
Will he even be able to decide on who he wants in though, I can't imagine he'll be able to sway many players with the 'join me, I'll be off in six months' argument. I would think most of our signings will be short term loan deals. A bit worrying that the club seem to be looking at a load of left backs as well, they've been reading the papers too much.

It was completely the wrong time and place for Ince though, wasn't it? I can see why he went for it, but Blackburn had been overperforming to a massive extent under Hughes and the only way was down for them. Santa Cruz was going to be their lifeline, but he hasn't been firing as normal either. Ironically it was probably the wrong decision for Hughes to leave as well.
-
It's hardly the first time he's messed it up is it? What makes you think he'll change his mind now? He comes across as resolutely stubborn. I'm not sure he will learn, but maybe giving up a good performance and a good lead against shit opposition will be enough ti finally get it through to him.
-
Off the pitch we're a mess, but on it I don't think we've been very much worse than the teams around us... I'm worried but I still think it's more likely Joe will do enough to keep us up. Look at Spurs, who everyone seems to rate and nobody is mentioning as relegation candidates. Hopefully the Stoke game will have taught Kinnear something about his mental substitution policy.
