There are far too many whingers in SJP, that's true. But the reality is that you will never fill a stadium of that size with hardcore fans, if you want a decent capacity you will have to carry the casual ones too. That's why it's stupid to judge teams on how many tickets they sell.

The criticism Shearer is getting is unwarranted IMO. There's only so much you can do with a hamstrung squad. I agree, the lack of the Shearer effect is as much an indictment of the players as anything else. Don't think he's done anything massively wrong, maybe there is no manager that could transform our useless players.

The Shearer effect depends on the fans as well I guess, we need to be 100% behind the team like never before for the remaining home games.

I think Blackburn could still go down, I would love it if that happened to Big Sam. My relegationometer is now at about 5.5, I reckon if we played the end of the season out 100 times we would survive about 45% of them. Don't know how I'll handle relegation, don't even want to think about it.
