Don't know about this incident but it seems a nightmare night to try and go out, after just throwing away a big game in the 90-odd minute. Everyone is going to be on edge, fans and players. Of course they still 'should' be able to go out and the blame has to go to whoever was the aggressor.

I would have thought a reseller website would be a better bet than the ballot. More expensive but the ticket is guaranteed. Guess you could do both and risk the £37 first, then go reseller if you don't succeed.

It’s not even a questionable patch really, it’s just incredibly hard fixtures all coming at the same time. The fixture list is massively underrated in football.

Great post. 2 was what I noticed as well, we were moving the ball side to side but Liverpool were very disciplined in preventing the quick pass to the winger. So often it had to go back and over to the other side, where the same thing would happen.

I thought they needed Mount to add movement and link their attacks, it’s different to the problem they have further back. I thought Casemiro had basically solved the DM and game control issues himself, but maybe not.

Think some credit has to go to Liverpool for stopping those quick balls to the wingers. We were moving it side to side but the final pass, particularly to Gordon, was often blocked off.

Well, that’s not really how dissent works. Of course you’d never get a yellow for complaining or stopping and attack if every decision went perfectly in your favour. Know what you’re saying though.

I was preparing to come on here and say “I’m not sure why we didn’t manage to get another goal, but we deserved a couple and at least we ground out the win”.

I think there might be a mental step we need to take at some point to really believe that we can put the ‘big teams’ away. We’ll get there, hopefully Howe can identify some things to help our mentality (and maybe his as well).
