He seems to fit perfectly with the 'no dickheads' policy as well, very balanced and intelligent lad. I'm also confident that he's top or near the top of out list on all the key attributes for our system.

He's such a weird player to assess. Sometimes looks alright, sometimes looks absolutely terrible even against really poor opposition. Slower games are better for him, so many of his mistakes are due to not being athletic or agile enough to get his body in the right position at the right time. On some of the stats charts for pressing etc, he comes out really high, which based on watching him is very hard to understand.

Yep, like I said there’s nothing in it for the club. They’ll be doing it because he’s asked for it as a favour.

I don't mind McTominay TBH, he's a serviceable general midfielder for a squad place. He's better than all our current backup players at CM. Other than that it's not very exciting.

I think Obertan is the best comparison for me. Has the tools in terms of fitness, athleticism and some technique. Does a few nice things in buildup. But is absolutely dogshit in key moments, doesn't have it mentally to win and just always picks the wrong option and/or fails to execute. I don't hate him because he tries and cares, but he is awful and I can't wait until he plays for someone else.

Thought he was decent. Overall I don't think he's a 'shit' player, but he's a very different type to Wilson and doesn't really fit how we want to play. Always happy to see him score because he works hard within his limitations.

Didn't really notice him either way tonight, nice to see him playing and getting some minutes under his belt.
