Getting juicy now.

I agree this point is right, I just think it would be almost impossible to prove that those rules weren't applied properly before in the context of this tribunal. And even if you did, what would it mean for this decision? Balance of probabilities might be enough to sow doubt I suppose, I don't know exactly how the tribunal works.
-
Hmm, maybe. I still think it gets a bit close to that territory of asking for the rules to be bent. Unless it can show that the whole concept of the FA rules is nonsensical and doesn't bind us... but that seems a long shot. It'll be 'interesting' to see what they say in response anyway.
-
I'm not sure that's the right logic if it boils down to "they applied the rules unfairly before, they should do it for us too".
-
It definitely seems like sporting rules alone can't be enough, if those sporting rules are unfairly applied to cause commercial impact on a business. Sure, Newcastle agree to be bound by FA rules on one level, but it seems a logical stretch to argue this means that they agree never to seek other remedy if they get shafted.

Slightly harsh when applied to someone whose job it is to speak

2 years into remote working and people still can't unmute

The logic of this argument seems a bit flawed IMO. Being bound by only FA rules because you're 'close to the playing of the sport' surely can't hold up when you're talking about sale and purchase of £350m companies and those transactions being blocked for commercial reasons. Can't see how sporting body rules can hold up to that.

Yeah, fair, but he never put entertainment ahead of organisation or getting prepared for the opposition. Eventually he got to a position where he could have both.

You would never fall in love with Rafa's style of football, but you would fall in love with his incredible levels of attentional to detail and preparation. You could see his thought processes clearly playing out on the pitch, as he solved problems and continuously improved our approach. I'd take that over end-to-end desperation defending any day.

It hurts us

Mind, no way Vieira would have got the likes of Gallagher and Edouard if he had come here.

Maupay is really superb in interviews, very smart lad.

Well we know, the club don’t have any real ambitions, it’s way too early for them to make a change.

Played this Saturday for the first time in ages, I can play.

It would be Jones, but it will be Bruce. And it doesn’t matter.

Genuinely insane, there’s no possible explanation for it. -
Aye, but neither of them can give a reasonable explanation.

Mad how short and far down the page this thread is -
A coherent system for the whole team might be worth a try.

My Grandad died of it when I was a kid, still the biggest trauma of my life probably. Ended up having to do things like follow him around the streets and convince him to come home, since he was a big strapping man and my Gran couldn’t cope. Not nice at all. Not a big fan of my parents’ decision to expose us to it so intensely, but there you go. It was a different time I guess. All the best to Joe as a human, although I still strongly dislike him overall

Some clubs (Newcastle) have to play their first team because anything else will lose to almost anyone. Therefore if they don’t you have to conclude that they’ve decided to prioritise survival over trophies.

None will be believable, one might eventually be true.
