Surprised they could find someone clever enough to write who is also thick enough to believe that.

Very strange argument. Surely the point is that we should have been able to buy Willock and £50m+ of other players on top? That’s Ashley’s fault, not Bruce’s for wanting Willock. Correct criticism of the mental contract extensions for terrible players mind. Also I think a real problem is lack of ability as well as lack of will. We just don’t have the capacity to find and do the deals for the players we need. We have the phone number of Willock and Chowdury so we have to pursue them. Otherwise we just don’t have the confidence we can find anyone else.
-
Didn't we get £100m or so from TV, like we have done every year since Ashley's been here?
-
The idea that Chowdury was our main target is depressing, the fact we didn’t get it done is laughable.
-
Our shortlist is very short.

It’s still no way to run a club though. There needs to be a connection between the transfer strategy, the manager and the tactics/player types that the manager wants to use. All have to be working together. However good Carr was, having one bloke decide on who a club signs and doesn’t sign is a recipe for disaster.

We’re making so many mental selections and substitutions. It’s an assumption, but some of them have the feel of Jones about them for me. Following on from the split strikers, we’ve got wingers playing fullback and attackers playing CM. We’re bringing on Joelinton and not going anywhere near Gayle. It’s all a bit too clever for its own good, and feels a bit like the stuff that was mentioned when he was appointed. Of course Bruce is ultimately responsible but we don’t have any evidence that Jones isn’t also very dodgy.

What you do to predict NUFC chances is, look at whether the opposition has any athleticism, pace or anyone good in central midfield. They do. -
Wolves look mint today.

It’s gonna be a murder. -
Don’t want to be off the pitch too long TBH, but then again I don’t want to miss watching the game I’m not playing in

I don’t get the point of bringing the good players on as subs. If you care about the cup, play them. If you don’t, leave them on the bench and just accept the loss. -
Are they only opening some of the ground? Not many tickets on sale.
-
Would be career suicide also.

Think I said at the time, it’s clear as day that we keep extending the contracts of shit players simply because it’s the easy option. Means we look like we have an alright squad, and it hides the fact we don’t have the expertise, desire or financial appetite to improve the club. Load of shit.
-
How about not giving new contracts to absolute shite?

Freddie Woodman (now playing for Preston North End)

He’s been fine. -
Think a 4 is about right. Realistically we might scrape a point a game. Then again, if it gets really toxic we might not. So I’d expect the number to go up at some point.

I don’t think it’s fair to say nobody predicted this TBH. We can easily lose absolutely any game - we have the same manager and the same team which stank the league up last season. -
I’d love to see a banner with ‘he’s very advanced tactically…’.

Sort of, but I guess without VAR it happens anyway, at least those times the linesman doesn’t flag. Which is a high percentage. -
