I like Murphy, but he's absolutely miles away from the rest of the group. Also, that whole group, fit at the same time?
-
Obviously knew he was the best, but never really looked into his numbers before now. Absolutely ridiculous
-
A front three doesn't necessarily mean two wingers and a striker, and we see that all the time in Howe's system. In a fluid front two/three I can see Isak as a left forward playing the channels, dropping back, tucking in, all without encroaching on Wilson's position. Think of Henry, he was a centre forward, often playing with a striking partner, but on a heat map he'd classified more as a left inside forward. Drifting wide, cutting in and curling with his right. How many times did we not see that? I imagine Isak could have a similar role "on the left" and it probably even being his best position, playing to his strengths. Anyway, what a strange feeling to actually have faith in the manager to work it all out

I live for Murphy's howls of victory

Excellent today.

Presses well, but it's almost like he's actively avoiding the ball at times. Such little presence for such a big lad. At times he looks surprisingly pacey though, wish we could see more of that. Would actually like to see him not playing as a target man. -
Today he was at his absolute best, even before the goal. The way he shifts in in pace, being patient and bursting past is class. Such a strange player, when he's not on form it honestly looks like his shoes are filled with lead. Then you see him on a day like this, gliding over the pitch.

Him and Botman together are just... wow.
-
Thought he was fine, but 7 mins of stoppage is absolutely shameless.
-
Was terrified it was one of hours already on a yellow before seeing it was the fucking ref
-
7 mins FFS. Complete madness. They'll fucking get one now.
-
IIRC the guy behind it is a forummer. Pretty sure I remember a post on it a few years back. Fantastic effort

Alright Miggy, it's getting a little unrealistic now, like

When you used to play football - did you......?

Tucked front and let it flow out behind, mullet-style. -
Parts of the first half was some of the best football I have seen us play since Bobby (barring perhaps 11/12, but that was more down to the players than the plan). We looked absolutely lethal at times, and combined with the best defence in the league, wew lad, we're in for a treat.

Can't really blame him for being knackered after 65 mins. He was busting a gut tracking back everytime the opposition broke

Wish we'd just smack it into the box on corners with the amount of giants we have on -

Fake Bruno is so fucking annoying even when he's not involved in any play for the entire half. Every shot of the ref, the little rat is there yapping in his ear. -

Botman vs Ronaldo will be tasty. Can't decide if I want him to be his cool self and keep it ticking over as usual, or go full radge-commander. -
They're back to Plan A - Being dirty bastards

Kurzawa packing it in? Been absolute shite since minute 1

That strike aside, Murph's been alright
