only really had offers fron southampton and brighton. he was just desperate to get away. apparently their academy has taken a bit of a dive. tommy watson and chris rigg seem to be their big hopes.

my neighbour/mate's kid has just been sold by the mackems to brighton for close to £1m. only 18 and still to make his debut for them. i can proudly say i took him to his first toon game (blackburn fa cup, ben arfa etc etc). mag daft but opted to join them instead of our academy when he was 8 as it was in such a shite state. good luck lad!!!!
