Yes that's the case. Urs Meier who works as an expert for the German TV said that as well. The goal should have counted.
am quite sure i heard that this rule was changed in the last couple of years so that there no longer needs to be clear daylight - just any attacking part of the forward needs to be ahead of the defender
last week in the park off gosforth hight street - chopra looking a little flabby and having a kickabout with his mates on thursday afternoon, then stevie harper walking his dog on sunday afternoon and cleaning up after it pooed
sounds like he's told them he aint going nowhere - no matter how hard they try to push out the door by refusing him transfer funds. but what kind of board negotiates that kind of payoff in a contract in the first place?
obviously gearing up to be changed to a 32 team turnamnet in the future - should have stayed at 16 - perfect for quality knock out football. now teams may be tempted to grind out a ciouple of draws to get a shot at best 3rd place team. not enough quality teams to fill 24 places.
that said, not keen on a 32 team tournament but would have rather that than this lopsided fiasco.
not sure about the 24 team thing - will it be like WC82 with a second round of 3 teams in a group, or are we going to get into this best-placed 3rd placed team mess.
milito has more the sheringham about him than shearer, maturing with age and having the first yard in his head. its amazing what sheringham won in his 30's and milito could do so as well.
there is no plan = we will see how it goes over the summer and spend if the right players come along at the right price? ie nothing set in concrete.
just clutching at straws like. how to put a downer on a really enjoyable season and a renewed air of optimism. bassa's!
born 1969 so seen a few england teams but no decent consistent left winger/midfielder - always been a problem. barnes scored against brazil and had a great 15mins as sub vs argentina in WC1986 but that was it.
needs to learn to use his strength and stay on his feet a lot more, and someone at the club has got to make him stay behind (even though he should be doing so himself) and work on that right foot.
and yet again to all those who left early - you missed one of the moments of the season - jose's first goal and the subsequent celebrations.
moments like that are priceless.
