  1. 20-25 million sounds like a decent enough transfer kitty. It's not going to set the world alight but we should be able to get a decent number of premiership players plus - and most importantly - a decent striker!
  2. Ecstatic.. it's been a long season and the team have rightfully got themselves back where they belong. Whatever happened last season happened and no amount of talk will change it, lets just be glad that some astute management has put this club back in the big time. We can worry about who and what we do later, for now I for one am savoring the moment!
  3. Fantastic goal, and the setup by Ameobi was class too. Glad to see the lad score, it definitely meant something to him that's for sure!
  4. Is Smith back yet? If were going to be missing Lovenkrands is makes sense to stick him in the middle with Guthrie and play Nolan off Carroll.
  5. Bollocks.. lets hope this isn't anything more than a knock!
  6. Come on.. lets just batter them 4,5,6 goals in our last 3 at home, so odds are on 7 please
  7. Annoying - just listening to the game. Hopefully it''s just a case of Jose getting himself back into the groove.
  8. Brilliant. Awesome.. simply awesome. Whoever came up with that one needs to start predicting some scores
  9. I reckon it's gonna be: Harper Simpson Williamson Colo Enrique Guthrie Smith Nolan Jonas Carrol McLoven With Best, Taylor and Pancrate coming off the bench at some point! 3-1, cant see them not scoring, but when they loose they don't seem to loose by 1..
  10. Dang I always though Blatter was German. That's a shame. We do have a say. Any formal change to the laws of the game has to be agreed to by the IFAB (International Football Association Board). FIFA has 4 votes on the committee, the other 4 are split amongst the home nations - the FA, the Irish FA, the Welsh FA and the Scottish FA. Seeing as you need 6 to carry a motion... it would be easy to block. Shouldn't FIFA have only 1 vote? Nope - they originally had 2 (so that the 2/3 majority could work) but back in the ... 50's or sometime a long long time ago they changed it to 4 so that FIFA could block changes to the rules as before then the home nations could change the laws of the game alone if they voted in a block!

  12. I'll second that.. heart attack on a plate right there!
  13. Nope - there's a few on here who think he'll be ok, and a few prepared to give him a chance. Could be a decent signing. I think people need to remember where we are before they get uppity!! Give the lad a chance
  14. Great post. As I said I don't know anything about him, but not going to write him off before he's kicked a ball. Seems to be in keeping with the "go for potential - low risk" strategy being employed by the club nowadays. If they work out great, if not - well we aren't going to lose very much. In stark contrast to the signings we used to make in the £10-15M bracket with four year contracts on millions a year which then didn't work out. I agree. Decent enough signing.. we've not got our first choice striking signings so we've moved down the list to the next available option. If it works out, all the better, if not we've not lost a tonne of cash.
  15. Me too, but I'll worry about that once we are guaranteed promotion. Until then I hope they lose every week. correct answer. great result for us. now come on Sheff Utd Are WBA home or away? West Brom are the home team.
