Fairly sure the Dutch are a bit more liberal in terms of visas. He started every game in the World Cup, and featured in all three ACN games earlier in 2010. Maybe NUFC just got some two bob settlement visa together last summer, and now its fucked itself... To renew a visa you just have to have played in 75% of your clubs game you were eligible for.

I was really positive about this season, we'd lost Nolan who imo disrupted our style of play so is probably a positive, but Barton cannot be replaced for the money we will spend, the incomings look great but we can't bring in good players and let good players leave, we are probably still a little stronger than how we finished last season, but with Barton and another Striker we'd have been alot stronger.

I think its clear we are having a massive change in style next season, its clear to me that Nolan wouldnt fit into this model, if we'd wanted to keep him we would have, but as we all suspect well be playing a 3 in mid next season which will require a blend of Pace, Power and Technique, Nolan has none of these things, just good timing and leadership.
