I think so too, it's a right b****** once it spreads, it's now become very tricky for the surgeons to get rid of and for him to make a full recovery. Hope he manages it though, and I've no doubt he'll fight it with all his strength. Aye once it's spread you're pretty much done for as there could be cancerous cells anywhere the only way to cure it is basically use therapy on every cell in the body and Radiotherapy on the known tumours. Good luck John but I'm afraid they've caught it too late, even in the best scenario they will only extend his life at max I'd say a couple of years.

I heard someone on the radio this morning saying Ashley should sell the club for nothing as its the only way the club will be able to survive financially.

I was just thinking what in the hell system are man city going to play next season Given garrido Richards Terry Zabaleta De Jong Barry Robinho Tevez Adebayor Santa Cruz Wtf?

Well at least we see if this was a load of tosh again today.

Have said it somewhere in this thread, you can't be asking for a 100m for a club that costs 20m every 3 months to run (as is). He (MA) is either greedy or doesn't want to sell. I think he's greedy and now doesnt give a s*** what happens to the club. I've a feeling he'd rather run us into the ground and asset strip than he would accept a lower price If the club is run into the ground then any 'asset stripping' will go to pay creditors ie outstanding transfers, banks etc as well as Ashleys loan. Its a long drawn out and utterly pointless exercise which no sane person would chose over simply selling and and cutting whatever losses he has now. To start off saying he is greedy then summerising he prefers to take a massive loss is a strange conclusion I mean he'll asset strip first.

If Llambias and Ashley aren't careful I honestly think there are alot of newcastle fans that, if they ever saw one of them in the street would go up and attack them. I wouldn't but I know plenty of people would.

Well it was more than 70m and if you include the wage bill, installments made to other clubs on players purchased more than we had. I could cut the wage bill to 15m in the time it takes to make 5 phone calls. Try and get people like Damien duff to join another club on 25k a week and see if he asks for us to make up the other 40k then.
-
This, I have no idea what to expect. We could be bought tomorrow Shearer appointed and given 30m to spend. Or we could still have Ashley with Hughton at the helm and no money and all good players sold.

I can tell you my prediction, club won't be sold by the start of the season, Hughton will take charge for the first 3 matches and lose them, Kinnear will come back, have a heart attack after 3 matches, hughton takes control again, Shearer is offered the job but tells him to piss off and we end up with Dave Bassett and narrowly avoid relegation.

source ? Someone I know, his wife works at the club. Thats where I heard that he'd stopped all dealings with the club (not doing anything with regards to advertsing, getting sponsors in) and wouldn't appoint a manager, had sent half the staff home. Also told me last week she was sent home when they showed the consortium around. It's all rumour based but it would explain why the club hasn't been sold and someone else told me they'd heard the same.

Why wont the arse just accept it. He's had bids but hes being so unreasonable. I've heard some of the bidders will repay some of the loan along with servicing the overdraft at a slightly reduced fee for the club. He wants 100m, the overdraft servicing and the 100m loan repayed as in installments but way above the current base rate. So really any owner could end up paying anything from 250m-300m. IS HE A FECKING LUNATIC. Man City were bought for 60m or something and he wants 300m for a championship club.

I'll do that, Tooj, you up for it? -
robinho Aye, but he's more flexible than the others, they'll just stick him on the left wing or something to fit all the mega stars in up front. Bellamy can play on the wing, can't he? I thought thats why him and souness fell out as he told him to piss off.

Plymouth home game sounds good for me Inclined to agree. Gives people time to do their summer holiday thing and to goto Leeds/Reading. Between now and then I'd gladly get say... 12 of us together and play 6-a-side somewhere. JJB Soccerdome were me you and Stu played? me and gimp were talking about getting something organised, to play 5 a side fortnightly at the JJb, Sunday mornings around 10 ish, cost £40 I think. A couple of gimps mates are interested, can continue on the redsv blues them , anyone interested? I'll play.

What's spot on about it? Because it is a reasoned post with sensible thinking. Like how? Because we woulnd't have been able to service the debts if we continued like we had. One report had us down as being insolvent at the end of 2007

The correct answer is.... he loses credibilty by stating Ashley has us on a stable footing. Christ, I miss out the word 'financial' and look what happens...the Shepherd apologists out in force (not aimed at you Cp40, I know you're just a Keegan fan) Does thinking MA is a clueless c*** immediately make one a Shep apologist? Explain...... Ashley cant be defended on his record, so comparing him to his predecessor is the only way of avoiding saying I got it wrong. I was blaming Keegan and Shepherd and people with cockney mafia out banners for our problems, when it was down to Ashley all along. Pretty much everyone must realise by now what a catastrophic dimwit Ashley is. as regards nufc ...yes does it mean fred left us on the up or in the s*** ? When MA took over he had access to capital within the region of at least 700m to 1bl. How the f*** did he manage to get us relegated? because he didn't want to spend all his money on the football club. much like you and I. Well to be fair he might as well have instead off pissing it up the wall. i very much doubt the ammount he spent on drinks would have made a difference. No but getting pissed and putting 250k on a roulette whell, or gambling hundreds of millions that the recession would end in a few months despite financial experts saying it would go on for years. are you saying he should just have made nufc his focus and forgot about his other financial interests ? don't even think fred done that. No I'm just saying he might as well have, he would be richer now. I think he's no the great businessman that most would be to be a Billionaire, I think he was just lucky and now thats ran out. i wouldn't say he was a great businessman, but to put it down to luck is silly. Well he made 250m of Adidas in 1 week when he bought them and randomly their stock rose massively, either thats insider trading or luck. or it's the knock on effect from him buying stock and others think he's preparing a takeover and the price rises on the strength of that. he also bought in to get rights to some adidas gear i think. I don't think even the most retarded man would think a man with 2 billion would attempt a takeover of Adidas. Edit: I am not calling you a retard. he could easily if he got the banks/institutions on board aswell. do you think the glaziers etc used their own money to buy man utd. google "ashley adidas takeover" and you'll see there were plenty of rumours about ath the time Then for that I apologise.
