They'll get torn apart if they try to play Dos Santos and Modric in Midfield. They'll have less physical presence than the Krankies.
-
If it is expect a rumour war. they are already after everyone......how can we compete in a rumour war ? We could start a Rumour saying Levy is going to swap Spurs for Man City with Shinawatra and Shinawatra plans to sack Ramos and bring in Robert Mugabe as manager.
-
Easily worth 20m. I disagree, my friend. Honestly? He has that special thing about him which makes him worth 20m straight away in my book. Scores a good amount of goals too. Look, i think he's a bloody good player....but worth 5m more than Alan Shearer?! Not in imo. mackems.gif Ok, i'll give it to him because he's got more hair. No, I just meant you're completely missing the picture saying he's not worth more than Shearer. How long ago was that transfer ffs? fair point then. Still not convinced he's worth 20m though. He is worth 20M but he'll cost alot more than that. It's not 1973 man.

The Spurs Connection Strikes Again. Maybe theyll give us Berbatov for a cut price deal after 'letting' them take Modric. Or maybe not.....

7m just to piss-off/spite a s**** club/team? If he's a big prospect, and he's looked decent & looks a good prespect - especially if we was placed alongside a defensive leader which makes signing Dunne so important, then fair enough but i couldn't care less about pissing off a club whose results up until last season's relegation have flared little interest in me. Yeah, we'd need an expercienced centre half as well but I remember on the build up to the derby when they all heard he was going to be out, they all said they'd get beat. Before they'd heard about his injury they were pretty confident.
-
Agreed. He's gone from being one of Chelsea's quickest players to one of our slowest. Pace was vital to his game the only way for him to recapture his form is to ask Dwayne Chambers if he can buy his legs off him. He seems open to alot of stuff so you never know.
-
All I can say is Leeds. I know they have a rich owner but if they fork out another 70M on players and dont break the top 4 they'll stop investing. Didn't spurs spend 67M last year? They are on target to do that again and maybe a bit more.
-
Nah just put a clause in his contract saying his hair will become the property of NUFC and he can only cut it when allowed to do so.
-
Still don't know what he's done to be so highly rated, but weren't people talking about him costing much more than £10m? Been in a struggling side has put a few away and has some quality attributes about him, quick, technically good, can spot a pass and can put defenders under pressure and is very young. What hasnt he done that makes you wary? Other than a couple of freekicks I've seen him score on MOTD, I've not been concentrating on Birmingham. I know they got relegated though. Not putting a downer on him, just seems like everyone is raving about a £10m+ player and very few have said what's he's actually so good at. As I say, not seen much of Birmingham like, so I admit ignorance on that front. Doesnt matter what he's good at, he ticks all the right boxes for me. South American- Check Cool Name - Check Expensive - Check Long Hair - Check

And what are the chances of him getting back to the form he was in 3 years ago? Probably reasonably likely considering his age and the fact when he does gets a decent run in the chelsea he looks quality. I think he's one of those players rely on alot of gametime to play well. Much like Barton, Owen etc.
-
Cracking little player, anything under 14 million and i'd be very happy IS that not the 3rd season they've had him on loan or am I confused?
-
Any removal of Alan Smith is good business. I'd even pay another club (Boro would be good) to take him off our hands. Quotes from his agent on Setanta this morning saying Smith's not looking to move.

Club are very short of numbers up front assuming Shola goes. You have to remember that the current fourth choice striker is Smith and you'd hope we got rid of him too. Consider the players Keegan used to have up front (although the players are different in terms of attributes, they have vaguely) similar stature: Shearer = Owen Ferdinand = Viduka Asprilla = Martins Beardsley = ? Kitson = ? Huckerby = Carroll Ginola = ? Watson = Smith Just read his mini-bio, damn you Shearer for getting old. Shearer would be immense in our 4-3-3 system with Oba and Owen at his side. Love this one: http://www.theage.com.au/ffximage/2005/09/19/19n_owen_wideweb__430x273.jpg And when have we ever played a 4-3-3 with Owen and Oba on either side of anyone? Owen wouldn't be able to play in that role. That's why Keegan plays that disjointed front 3. To play on the right or left of a front three which I consider to be a wing forward you need the ability to beat a man which Owen doesn't really have. If he could have, Allardyce would never have went 442 to accomodate him. Yeah agreed, you should explain this to Pullman. I was I just qouted the wrong bit. To be fair I think Martins is the only one in our squad that can do that but he drift's inside too much. Duff may be able to do it but I have my doubts and he seems to have lost the ability to beat his man.... Well, he can beat them but has to cut back due to his lack of pace/confidence atm. Milner should definatley not play in this role.

Aye might as well resign Carr as well with your 'if he can kick a ball/man and has played in professional sport sign him' policy. I really dont rate Diane seen him a few times in Le Championat.
-
what you're on about?! Look at the link. I did. it's one game, mate? wtf. I'm confused now. Diane's goalscoring record is. 02-03 Roye 26 Goals, 34 Games (-) 03-04 Reims 19 Goals, 35 Games (-) 04-05 Reims 8 Goals, 34 Games (-) 05-06 Strasbourg 9 Goals, 34 Games 2 Goals, 8 Games (UEFA Cup) 06-07 Paris-SG 5 Goals, 33 Games 6 Games (UEFA Cup) 07-08 Paris-SG 5 Goals, 22 Games (-) Edit: Above is in the league.

I'm starting to hate Benitez. He doesn't half say some retarded things.

what you're on about?! Look at the link. Edit: Sorry looking at it won't do much good. Click on it.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3564888,00.html wtf. His goalscoring records comparable with Smith's

14th/15th nailed on then.
-
Agreed. You also can't blame the back 4 for all of the goals when earlier in the season we had a non-existent midfield add that to fact Rozehnal was first choice for a while.

Kadar has been called up to the full Hungary international squad. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1310912,00.html

Media is probably just confused. Must have seen a contract offer being made by us. Something like Edgar, David POS CB.. etc
