  1. On the plus side we have 3 of them to play which will be massive if we can get any wins from them. Swansea are probably just out of reach now but I reckon we can still take them at home, and Palace are still in it given their form. The game at Villa is gonna be an arse-clencher no doubt.
  2. I'm shitting myself over this. We may have to wait another 10-15 years just to get this kind of chance again.
  3. Doumbia needs starts tbh. Mitrovic played pretty well up front on his own but our chances at goal are weak. Sissoko was complete dogshit and f***ed up 2 great chances for us. Wouldn't be sad to see him leave in the summer. Overall it was an encouraging performance by us and we definitely deserved a point.
  4. Same guys left, but with captain Vardy. I suspect that this week people either forgot completely or are fielding the same team as everyone else. Yea, I couldn't be bothered to make loads of transfers since I've used everything up already so just decided to change my captain and hope that we win a 4-3 epic or something
  5. 77 points so far. Harry Kane triple captained and got Schmeichel, Vardy and Mahrez to play
  6. Much like Pardew, it's harsh treatment from the fans unless he's at your club and you're having to suffer the shite he has you watching every week.
  7. To be fair you'll always have it. They were all saying we should stick with Souness when he had us in the bottom 3 after spunking 50m.

  9. It just goes to show how many of these so-called experts wouldn't have the slightest clue in management. It beggars belief how so many of them can come out with such shite.
  10. It's funny because a lot of sections in the media actually talked up Pardew and McClaren. It's all political bullshit to help their agenda.
  11. Reading through this thread again is just completely surreal
  12. re Sissoko, true to a point. He never recreated that energy form his debut, even weeks later he'd never come close. Probably once that negativity set in of how we played and what our aims were it was hard to get back out of that mentality tbh. We'll have to wait and see.
  13. Good point. Should be interesting to see what happens to Gouffran in that case
  14. You can't do that in the box, man. Stupid defending. He was daft to make contact (albeit with the palm of his hand ffs) but that's still one of the most blatant dives you'll ever see.
  15. That's one of the worst pen decisions I've ever seen.
  16. That's got me moist as f*** A highly enjoyable read. Agreed, that's a brilliant read. Much thanks for taking the time to post that here. Totally over the moon with this appointment.
  17. I've been hearing it a lot. 'He kept Liecester up last year', forgetting that he led them into a relegation battle to begin with where as now with only a few additions they are 10 games away from winning the league. Wasn't that a Sunderland fan? To be fair the caller that was on after him put him in his place I think. How any Newcastle Fan could want a relegation manager ahead of a Champions League winner is completely fucking ridiculous. 10 years ago you'd not have heard a single person saying that.
  18. At first you think he's crazy, then you realize it's just Benicio Del Toro preparing for a new role. http://i.imgur.com/tcicD3d.jpg  Shearer or Ginola man, f***ing hell some people. No disrespect to either of them but to call the appointment of a Champions League winner a disgrace in comparison to 2 people who have little to no experience in management is nothing short of moronic
  19. "Oi'd 'ope he can do as good a job as Oi did up there. Oi'll leave it at that."
  20. “On at least on two occasions conversations have taken place between Benitez and Newcastle, including just before he went to Real Madrid last year, but also well before that as well." I haven't felt this excited since Keegan was brought back for that 2nd manager stint. Totally surreal that we've actually gone and appointed someone of Rafa's quality when a couple of weeks ago he was considered a pipe dream.
  21. It happened 15 and 20 years ago with us. I wouldn't really take anything Merson says seriously, he doesn't even know what day it is.
