  1. Who cares what position we finished in? fact is the football was s**** and he stunted the growth of various different players. Not sure why this is being brought up anyway, everyone knows how it happened and it's been repeated constantly after the fact. All boring as f*** imo. We finished 16th that season. That's not even going into the fact that Ohh hey, look Europa was tough on our small squad (which we signed a boat load in January) and we didn't improve 5th but finished 6-10th. No we finished 16th and were SAVED by an own goal. FFS that's turbo s***. Everton didn't get as far as us in the Europa League - signed more players in August - and finished in the bottom half of the table. Pardew of course under performed but there's other circumstances. Including losing Ba. January isn't the time to sign 4 first team players from France and expect them to excel straight away. Especially coming into a poorly performing team. When we sold Cabaye, we where 6th in the league. Aye, we were so good under him post Cabaye that protests were carried out to the point where he actually cried on live TV. The form from January - May was absolutely awful aye. No question and we should've done better. Cabaye left and it was massive, we've not looked a decent side for any kind of period of time since. I think the likes of Remy and Debuchy had their heads turned and were looking at their next moves. The rest of that side is what we have left and after every game it's becoming increasingly obvious that they aren't very good at all. Except they mostly did excel straight away, until they got Pardew's philosophy pummeled into them and became complete gash. Once we lost Ba, Pardew was found out and he never recovered from it.

    Steve McClaren

We've had 3 shots on target over the last 2 games. Everton and West Brom had a total of 42 goal attempts against us and 25 corners. Just unlucky really.
  4. Could see it coming a mile off that we'd lose in the sort of fashion that made the opposition look three times as good as they are. That's something that has always been way too common with the spine in this team in particular, dating back to Pardew's early days.
  5. Mick Lowes is trying to paint some picture of how the match went like
  6. Poor. He shouldn't be out on the left wing though at the same time, it's not where his strengths lie.
  7. Any club with a bit of sense would sack McClaren after the run we've had, some for less. As usual we'll do nothing about it and hope we can escape at the end of the season with another carrot dangled by Ashley in order to save season ticket revenue from falling.
  8. It really is as well. I think anyone could see we needed to change things up between 60-70 minutes and he just stood there and watched us get worse. The bloke is a complete mess.
  9. They'll get another one. McClanger needs to sling his hook like, he's nowhere near good enough for this league.
  10. This is fucking disgraceful from our lot like. Close to switching this shite off, we're a gutless bunch of fanny farts.
  11. If we were putting more crosses like that into the box it'd help him with his development, in terms of not dwelling on one major miss. It's probably the biggest problem we've had for the last few years tbh.
  12. McClanger will probably be speculating on who we bring in more than the media will.
  13. We're still s*** because we threw the baby out with the bathwater imo. McClaren, as much as I don't really like him and didn't want him would have, imo, done way better with the 2011-2014 squad we had. Not sure he would have, as for the most part I'd put them in the same bracket as each other. Pardew imo was found out when Ba left as he was the glue that held that team together. I think McClaren would have bottled a lot of the same decisions Pardew did, especially with Cisse.
  14. Though we did almost hit the dizzy heights of 8th, which was top of the league in his head.
  15. He's the only one to blame? Not the players that missed, and I mean totally fluffed, easy chances? Yes but a good manager makes all the difference in how well they perform on the pitch.
