We had a chance, but went 2 steps down whilst they went 2 steps up. Within 6 months we've eliminated about 20-25 goals from our squad. How many have we added then? I doubt there's any mileage in that Defoe story, but he would be our best striker by some margin if he joined. Would much prefer someone with their best years ahead of them though tbh.

If you look back to January and that apparent deadline day bid, it just shows that the board have no plan in place at all. Gutted we aren't in for him but that's the story of being a fan of this club under the current leadership.
