What's your opinion on Garde brummie? From an outsider it appears he has made Villa at least a tougher side to beat, cup game at the weekend aside. Having had lots of draws could a few of them games been wins? It seems it's just the lack of quality letting Villa down Even the self destruct button at the back can be avoided these days, but his problem is the lack of options up front. The lack of a striker is the difference between draws and wins. You can see what he's trying to do. I fucking hope he stays. In fact, if there is one positive to all this shit, it is that it gets more and more people behind Garde.

Well you tried at least one but we stole him Tried, but not very hard I'll wager. Where's the second option for us? Did it occur to them it might be harder than usual what with us being on -30 points?
-
Maybe just a loan? A striker, someone as an option up front. Our striker options are Gestede, Kozak, Ayew and Agbonlahor. Jesus Christ. Gestede is out of his depth, Kozak is still getting over a broken leg, Ayew is not bad but will never be a prolific scorer, and Agbonlahor is a fat cunt everyone wants to see leave ASAP. One thing it has done is absolutely solidify the support for Garde - everyone can see the cunts have pulled the rug from under his feet.

Not a single signing, not even a loan. If ever you wanted to see what it looks like when a chairman loses interest, look at us at the moment. Beyond pathetic. I hate these cunts.

Hard luck, lads, at least you're in the champions league *wildly celebrates winning the league* again

Admittedly, I don't watch that much football involving clubs that aren't Villa - although I generally try to avoid watching Villa these days as well - but until i just saw him interviewed whilst looking like the backing singer in an early 90s acid jazz band, I had totally forgotten Raheem Sterling even existed.

I reckon we're following the correct strategy. Release a few players (Bennett, Crespo, Ilori, Senderos), bring in nobody. Hang on to your seats, Villa fans!

Townsend is the sort of player who, when it's mooted he'll sign for you, you're distinctly underwhelmed. Then when he actually does sign, you start to realise it's not that bad a signing. It really isn't, either. The only point I'd worry about is the fee. That's a lot of money.

Was saying this to a neutral earlier on, us 3 clubs must be most neutrals' choices to go down. The way all 3 clubs have gladly rode the gravy train with no effort to improve is disgraceful, and personal allegiances aside it would be funny as fuck if all 3 were punished before the money goes up significantly next year. Might be a lesson to others. Of course they will be. The bigger / glitzier / arrogant (as they see it) you are, the more people want you gone. Us, you and Sunderland have, for a few years now, offered absolutely zero to this league. Look at teams like Watford, Bournemouth, for example. Do any of us three really deserve to stay in the league ahead of clubs like that? I really don't think so. What's more, all three clubs are a fucking great example of what happens when your chairman doesn't care / loses interest / just likes money / is a massive cunt. The latest rumours down here are that Lerner is appointing his son Max to our board. He's 18. The sooner this fucking clown sells up, the better. I was only a baby when we went down into the third division, and apparently, that was a proper shambles. I went to almost every game in 86-7 when we went down again, and that was a fucking shambles, too. But this year, it's a total clusterfuck. We can't even get things right off the pitch. In the last 5 years we've grown our commercial revenue by a total 14% - that's about inflation. That's, in an era of huge money, fucking pathetic, and shows up Lerner's total inability to make appointments, which is exactly what Cleveland Browns fans told us. Maybe if we'd had someone with a brain in our commercial department, we wouldn't have had to sign the sort of shite we've signed the last five years, and spent that whole time stinking out the league, doing it on the cheap. We're an absolute embarrassment to the people who founded us, and all the people who have since contributed to us. If i didn't support us, I'd want us relegated this season and next, too.
-
* wells up* not only that, but we were easily the better side, played well.
-
We are playing very well, passing it confidently, bossing possession. Here's what happens next. We'll concede a shit fucking goal, a really crap one, go to pieces, and lose.
-
There's actually no spending big enough to save us. We need a keeper, a left back, a right back (now Hutton's fucked), a midfielder and a really good striker. No chance.
-
The worrying thing about this is that it is happening tomorrow, January the fucking 12th, rather than about a month ago when it should have happened. We are doomed. We truly are being run by the thickest cunts ever to 'grace' the national game, just staggering.

They'd need to find another £25m for the increase in the BUPA subs.

My, aren't Stoke fans ugly?

I thought he had - did a double check, but thought "nah, he can't have"

Nice for the fans to get the chance to wave their heroes off

He is very talented, but to be honest, in the position we are in at the moment, we either play Gil or Grealish, we can't afford to play both of them. Grealish has been really piss poor this season. I know they all have, but people forget he's still an unproven kid. That "OMG! WILL HE PLAY FOR US OR IRELAND!11!!!" thing kind of obscured the fact that he's a kid with a handful of top flight starts under his belt. Even so, don't think I'd loan him out. Just saying, though, he's far from our best player.
-
That's exactly like us with Lerner for the last five years. So long as we could cling on in the top flight, that was enough for him. 17th is a success for him. Other than the fact that Ashley is also, as a person, a massive, massive cunt (which I don't think Lerner is), their reasons for being involved in the game are the same. All that CGAF / slopey shoulders / just don't get relegated attitude drips down from the top and permeates both clubs like a leaking fucking toilet. And that is precisely why the rest of the league, let alone fans of teams in other leagues, want the likes of us and you (and Sunderland, for that matter) to get relegated, because as much as it is always funny to see big names suffer, both clubs have contributed absolutely fucking ZERO to the league for years. Check this out, for example. This is our CEO speaking, yesterday, a day in which we've completed our 19th game without a win. How can you even begin to deal with people with this attitude?
-
Imagine being able to win matches. Fuck the bed.
-
Ah, the good times of the Sherwood era.
-
We scored against you. touché
-
Yes. Ah, the good times of the Lambert era.....

The only criteria for a team to get beaten by us is that they need to be completely unable to score against us. If they fit that bill, we have a chance of winning. Recently we've specialised in looking the best team for most of the game, only to give it away with one or two absolute gifted soft goals, so basically, we need opponents so inept, they won't take those offerings.
