Piss off. If it makes you feel better, I'm not massively excited. Why? I've convinced myself beyond belief that we're going to lose, so I am fully expecting to lose. I've simultaneously convinced myself that we're going to reach the FA Cup final, so that will be a happy consolation. I am fully aware of the flaws in this plan.

I want to stay up for the Football League program now, but I've got to get up early in the morning (to set off for somewhere with a big arch over it, and no, not McDonalds). I love that program. I can't explain why, I just think it is a case of perfect scheduling and it seems to last FOREVER.

Ricardo "Roacher" Fucking hell, Motson, retire.

To be fair to him he'll have been upset for the kid as he works with him every day, I can understand where he's coming from even if I think the tackle wasn't that bad. I take your point, but it's not the first time he's reacted like that. He could do with being a little more circumspect about these things.

It looked from that pic like the damage was done by Ramsay getting is studs stuck and twisting his leg, any contact in a situation like that will result in bad things.
-
The thing about Wenger is that he makes it really, really hard to like Arsenal, who should be the side all neutrals like.
-
Wenger is such a graceless cunt.

The actual challenge looked pretty innocuous to me.

Yeah I would too! My 4 for World Cup is... Rooney Defoe Crouch Agbonlahor and Bent if we want 5 or if one of those gets injured. I honestly don't think I'd put Agbonlahor in the squad, *but* his pace is quite unbelievable, as is the workrate with it, and I can see situations where being able to bring on a player like him would be more beneficial than just having more of the same on the bench. Walcott has pace as well, he just scores a lot less.
-
Having just seen that montage of Terry fuck ups in recent games on MOTD, I think we should withdraw him from the squad too.

Us It will be Liverpool, though, infuriatingly.

The problem you will have is that, having promoted you, you can't really jettison Hughton. You just have to trust him not to cunt it up and get you down the wrong end of the table again.

David O'Leary? "Look here, I have a small mirror to look at Dave O'Leary's pug nosed cunt of a face with"

Good to see Fulham doing well, that's an awesome result against a team like Shaktar. Excellent work, Hodgson. Fulham are a decent club with a lovely little ground and nice fans, I would love to see them win the Europa League.

If my colleague had been tupping my Mrs behind my back, I wouldn't really fancy spending 6 weeks abroad with him, so I don't blame him really. Anyway, Warnock and Baines are both much better players then Bridge is.

And there's no doubt you can beat Chelsea if you play well. As has been apparent in your run, decisions seem to be going your way so I wouldn't be surprised at all if you go all the way. Wouldn't be surprised if you need a replay vs Reading like. When Petrov pulled us out of the shit against Palace in the closing minutes of the first match, my mate said to me "that's the moment we won the cup" (jokingly). I wonder, though...... What I'm most pleased about is we're actually playing quite well at the moment, unbeaten in 12 now. The major, major thing, though, is that the other draws in the Cup have gone so nicely for us. Even tonight, Reading beating Albion and taking the local derby distortion factor out of it. It is all very fortuitous. It almost makes up for the bad luck of drawing Man United in the 3rd round of the cup 6 times in 9 years or whatever it was.

Oh and in the spirit of comments here about Given, where are YOUR trophies, Barry you fat arsed, 10 games a season money grabbing CUNT? :colo:
-
Came out of our match tonight thinking we were playing the Ollbeeyun in the next round, got into the car to hear Reading were winning. Disappointed not to get the chance to beat the Tesco bags, but I'm ever more convinced this is our year in the FA Cup. Everything seems to be going for us.

Isn't it ten points deduced straight away then another ten if they're still in administration at the start of next season?

Surely you can see there's a bit of a difference between getting relegated and being in court facing a winding up order, though? I pissed my pants the last time Birmingham got relegated, it made my season. I wouldn't want them to go out of business, though. Did you read my whole comment ? Or did you only just read the first part. I saw countless messages on forums from supporters hoping Ashley "finishes off the job", I don't recall too many people feeling sorry for the fans of NUFC who went through hell last year. No, I read it all. I just cut out the bits I wasn't replying to rather than requote the entire thing. QUite ironic that you're going on about these people you saw begging Ashley to "finish the job off", but now you're actually sinking to their level yourself. I reiterate, going through a winding up petition is a different type of hell to being relegated. Given that you've just described that as "hell", I don't know what that makes this season for them. Still, as you say, they can just reform and start off in the Hampshire And District Paperboys League or some such, it's no big deal after all. Incidentally, I can't believe you're citing Wimbledon and MK Dons as something even remotely positive, that's a first.
-
What has Ashley's profile been like of late? Genuine question, I've not been on here so much this season To my untrained (and uninformed) eye it looks like he's realised the best thing he can do (if only for purely selfish reasons to protect his investment) is stick just as much money as he needs to in to get you back promoted, and keep shtum in the meantime so as not to create any unwelcome attention when he comes to sell you as a PL club.

The people who worked there, for starters, not to mention the people who'd shopped there for decades. Interesting to see Manchester United in a slightly different form of financial meltdown, despite them having supporters all over the globe. The longer football just ploughs on regardless as if it is immune to the basic principles of business, the more clubs will go to the wall. I'm entirely aware football is a tribal business (and I love it as much as the next man), but it is pretty hard to adopt a "who gives a s***" attitude to fans of other clubs, when - but for the grace of God - it could be you next. Hoefully change wil happen. Unfortunately, I don't think even Portsmouth ceasing to exist will be enough. There will have to be more, first.
