Why do our players constantly go down the wings looking to cross the ball into the box when we only ever have one player in the box?

The commentator I'm listening to keeps saying "It's gone all quiet in St James' Park" as if that's a good thing. The atmosphere has been killed. If this is NUFC at home against Hull it's going to be extremely painful when the top teams turn up.

Don't big up the opposition (no matter who the opposition are) before we play them. Before playing Sunderland don't say you hope they stay up. Bring in qualified coaches. I have my doubts about Moyes. Having said that, I have no idea who Ashley would go for. His main criteria for a new manager is probably getting someone he doesn't have to pay compensation for.

Said this a lot but i refuse to believe a businessman like Ashley famed for cutting costs hasnt put a clause in his deal for this. No way on earth will he pay the full contract up man I agree. The only reason I think he wants Pardew to jump is I can't understand why he hasn't fired him yet. He could have fired him many times over the last two seasons. There must be some reason why he waits.

I'm thinking Mike Ashley won't sack Pardew as he'll want Pardew to quit so he doesn't have to pay him any compensation. If Ashley doesn't sack Pardew before the Hull game then he's basically sending Pardew into the lion's den. Ashley may be hoping the fans break Pardew's death grip on the NUFC manager's job.

A positive manager who could motivate the team would be a massive improvement on what we've got. That's before taking tactics into account.
